Basketball season begins Monday with Orange & Blue Scrimmage

General admission seating, free parking, autograph session included

The scrimmage will consist of three, eight-minute quarters. Each quarter will be contested as its own game, with the score resetting after each quarter. The split-squad rosters will change each quarter, giving the staff an opportunity to see various lineups in action.

Following the scrimmage, all Illini players and coach Groce will sign posters for those in attendance during a 45-minute autograph session. This will be the first opportunity for fans to pick up the 2012-13 Illini basketball poster. Download the poster as a wallpaper for your computer. The video board will show the Monday Night Football game between the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions as an added convenience for fans who are waiting in line for autographs.

Orange & Blue Scrimmage tickets are included in the season ticket package. Tickets also are on sale for $10 each, and just $2 apiece for University of Illinois students. Seating for the scrimmage is general admission and parking is free. Assembly Hall doors will open at 6 p.m.
