The Illinois Renaissance for the Assembly Hall

"This is Head Coach John Groce. We're in the middle of a crucial stretch run, but I want to take a few moments to provide you with an important message. One of the main reasons that I was so excited to coach at this great university is the unlimited potential for success. The history and rabid fan base make this a special place. We have high goals for this program, and I am confident we can accomplish every one of them. The state of Illinois is the 5th most populated in the country, and we have the largest alumni network in existence. We can reach any objective when we unite Illini Nation together. With that in mind, in the next few days, you will be receiving information on the Illinois Renaissance for the Assembly Hall. Renovating the Hall will help us to compete with anyone in the country in game atmosphere and recruiting. I urge you to unite with your fellow Fighting Illini and support the Illinois Renaissance. It's an aggressive project, and it will change the way we all look at Illinois basketball; however, as I tell my players, to do things you haven't done before, you have to do things you haven't done before. The Illinois Renaissance will help the University of Illinois to reach the goals it has yet to achieve, including becoming a standard of excellence in the Big Ten Conference. Thank you for all that you do, and go Illini."
