John Groce talks Rayvonte Rice

"His versatility is gonna be his strength. What I mean by that Loren- I'm gonna put a lot on him, and Ray wants it. He wants to be able to guard the other team's best perimeter player. He's gonna know at least two positions on the floor. He's really worked harder to become a better shooter. He's a guy that can get to the foul line. He rebounds well for his position. He's in the best shape of his life, he's at 4% body fat, he weighs 230-235. Losing somewhere around 35-40 pounds over the last year. Body fat's dropped close to 10%. I'm just really proud of the way he's handled his business in the sit-out year.

"Now the challenge for him mentally is to be an 'everyday guy'..Helping Ray trying to be even-keeled mentally through both adversity and success. In a long college basketball season you experience both. I think that's kinda the next step for Ray. We've got high expectations for Ray."
