Jaylon Tate

Turnover rate is often a good proxy for the degree of comfort fans have with a young player on the floor. Thus far, Tate has a low turnover rate (15.7%) for a point guard, and very low by the standards of freshman point guards. Hill is at only 13.8% as well. By contrast, Nunn (30.7%), Colbert (26.7%), and Morgan (28%) have the kind of high turnover rates that make fans nervous. Though Nunn is very effective when he's not making mistakes (as he showed against Bradley), he'll have to tame his turnover rate and avoid flubbing defensive assignments in order to play more than spot minutes in important games.
