The long-range specialist was voted the Illini's most improved player last season and he never stepped foot in a game. The 6-3 Cosby made 66 3-point shots two years ago at Seton Hall and averaged 12.6 points while shooting an impressive 40 percent from long distance. The combination of Cosby, Oregon State transfer Ahmad Starks, veterans Rayvonte Rice and Tracy Abrams, along with sophomores Malcolm Hill and Kendrick Nunn will give Illinois one of the deepest backcourts in the Big Ten.
