fair enough, i'm still scarred from being told how much guys like storr wanted and that we can get close to the same production for less. time to put upIdk if bargain is the right word ... Top 50 kids aren't cheap ... We got 3 of them ...

Is the program UNC?They were not the program I was told ... But if he does enter ...
I can guarantee you that we will be very aggressive ... Brad gonna put the Big Dog on that one ...
Yep no doubt!!A guy like Kalk and a solid+ 2 guard and we’re firmly in the top 10 to start the season.
This Board cracks me up.We are coming off 29-9 BTT champion, Elite 8 season, lost to NCAA champion and people are complaining about team roster construction.
Roster was excellent
- got All American TSJ to return for 5th year
- got 3rd team All big ten Coleman to return for 4th year
- Brought in 1st team all big 10 Marcus Domask to give us great 2nd scoring option and handle ball vs press and half court trap
- Brought in 5th year senior starter Quincy who provide solid 3 point shooting and rebounding
- Brought in 5th year CG Justin provided 3 point shooting, PG defense and ball handling
Brad did a fantastic job in roster construction and coaching last season. He was not lucky getting Domask. He recruited him because he knew Marcus would help.
Indy, if you know one school has 1.5 set aside, do you feel Illinois will match or go higher ?
Edit: never mind answered thank you!
I don’t want to brag about my financial status, but I will triple it and won’t even notice in the long run.I’ll double it!!!
I'll go ahead and donate 2 beach houses to the causeI’ll double it!!!
Exactly. Thank You!Statistically, this is absolutely true, but I think we underestimate the value of players with a reliable midrange jumper. As the game tightens up and defenses key in on stopping shots at the rim and 3s, sometimes a good midrange shot is the best "clean" shot one can get. You see this happen in the NBA playoffs, where midrange aficionados become relatively more valuable when the games matter most (example). Domask was the guy generating our best offense against UConn (our only offense really), and his game is mostly pull up/step back/turnaround jumpers. Ayo made a killing for 3 years with a deadly midrange game; how many of his game winners/crunch time buckets were midrange shots? (don't have a number but it was a lot -- just watch his highlight videos)
All in all, you're right about the stats and there's a reason the game has trended towards the shot chart on the right, but I think people sometimes draw too straight a line from the stats to 'midrange = bad', while the most competitive basketball games still show us that it has a lot of value. To the larger point about Ty Rodgers shot, I agree that him developing a midrange likely doesn't change much, since he's never going to be automatic like Domask/Ayo were. Better to have 1-2 guys capable of being midrange assasins surrounded by true long-range shooters, much like our team build this year. If Ty could shoot even 28-30% from 3, he'd be a different player, but we don't even know what he'd shoot from distance since he doesn't even look at the basket. That, to me, is the biggest problem and I'm a bit skeptical that an offseason of heavy practice will alleviate that in-game mental barrier.
This is why we paid what we did for Antigua and this is where he excels!!!!They were not the program I was told ... But if he does enter ...
I can guarantee you that we will be very aggressive ... Brad gonna put the Big Dog on that one ...
We recruited the heck out of him as a prep.do we have any connection to Kalk?
If he does enter- Antigua’s gotta get it done. It’s what he’s paid for. This guy would be the difference between a top 25 and a top 10 teamDoes Creighton find the $$ is the question ...
If they don't ... It's an all out battle between 4 schools based on what I've heard ...

Interesting... his Instagram live last night made it seem like he was not entering the portalDavid Jones entered the portal.
I can’t find it anywhere yet, but we filmed a commercial with Penny Hardaway this morning and it was overheard in the building.
Good griefBU recruited his way into a straitjacket and handcuffs at the bottom of a lake and coached his way out of it. …….
Let's make it easier this time!
Jamaal Walker IIRCWho was Kalk’s lead first time around?
As I said a few days ago in an earlier post, my friend that works at Creighton said there was a lot of chatter about him entering the portal....wouldn't surprise me at all.....if so we need to gather up our coins and go ....Lot of rumors going around about this one ...
