I love this new era of illinois college basketball! Thank God for the portal! I think it's the best thing that has ever happened to college sports in my lifetime! Brand new teams every year, chance to great every year, no more backseat to the blue bloods!

I think the portal is the only way to go. We can build super teams each year. I think freshman, unless 5 stars, should go to mid majors for a couple years, then we can poach them in their prime. I love this portal era!
