DGL the rare player who didn't get the minutes he undoubtedly wanted going in to the year and took it as an opportunity to grind and earn them with the same team the following year (hopefully). We should be desperately rooting for him to succeed, or completely embrace the new era of 90%+ roster...

Can't blame him if he goes - roster doesn't seem like a great fit with what we have done so far, and all of his buddies are gone at this point. Only have so many opportunities in life to chase the $$. It is what it is, I'll still be a fan. Hope he is here though.

Yeah they are on meth if they think he will just forfeit the money. Is 100% a foregone conclusion he will stay for at least that long if he needs to.

Indy indicated there is a backup emergency fund that would be separate from the main NIL pool that Brad could dip into specifically if we got a surprise return from either of them.

I would say that he ranks #1 for me as the most unlikely to follow through on a commitment of all time though - I remember that little janky presser where he called us Illinoise and seemed to have an interest level of 1/10. I was expecting him to leave from the get-go.

Sad sad. At the end of the day though, portal is clearly to Illinois benefit and I won't miss the days of praying on selection day that we make the tournament.

I'm good with it - we have been looking down the road the last few years and subsequently got bounced long before we had to worry about it. At this point, I prefer to get the monkey off our back, get a couple wins, some momentum, and take it from there.
