Nothing's settled until the students are on campus practicing, but I remain a little confused how quickly things went from "It's not about money, it's about a visa" to "The money ask is too high a hill to climb, we've moved on".

I'm also curious if they'll try to schedule longer trips as back to backs, like the Pac-12 did, where you could do Oregon and Washington on a Thursday-Saturday or Friday-Sunday and knock it out all at once.

Still don't like that only 15 teams will be in the conference tournament next year. Feels bad. It'd be better if they even just played a first round at schools' home courts and whittled it down to 15 or 16 for the neutral tournament, if it's a question of making the days/teams work.

It does seem like several people are interpreting the May 1 deadline as some sort of player signing deadline, which is hugely impatient. They also see these programs like Michigan, Indiana, Louisville and other recovering disasters scoop up talent fast like it's going out of style and then panic.
