Basketball has evolved into rugby over the last 4 decades. I wouldn't have been in foul trouble ever, if the game was called back then like it is now. :)

This continual judgement/assessment of coaches, teams, and conferences based upon performance in a single elimination tournament is dumb.

It's a small part of a large picture. It just happens to be the most exciting attention draw of the season for casual basketball fans.

I could have been happy with Purdue losing, but I'm content with the Big Ten doing well.

This view has me happy all the time with March Madness.
I kinda want you see Purdue and Creighton in the next round. They worked UConn. I wonder if they'd use that game plan against PU, too?

Elite 8:
- 2 Big Ten
- 2 or 3 ACC
- 1 or 2 SEC
- 1 or 2 Big East
- 0 or 1 Big 12

So do we want Houston to beat Duke to prevent ACC leadership, or do we want Duke to beat Houston to vehemently slam the door on the “Big 12 is the best conference” talk?
Definitely prefer Houston over Duke.

Yep, they seem well suited to play Purdue. Then I'd be really happy, because I have Creighton in the Final 4. To this point, I still have all my Final 4 picks. I think it's the furthest I've ever made it. (Alabama, Illinois, Houston, Creighton)

I'll be happy that one will be a loser, and sad that they both cannot be.

I strongly disagree. Everything you said was 100% true the last four (arguably 19) years. But this year, every program that didn’t make the Elite 8 is trash.

Watching Arizona and Marquette their offense has failed them. Brad was smart to adjust his philosophy because consistent offense does appear to rule March (see Illinois and Alabama).
Gotta agree. It is relatively easy to teach and motivate athletic young men to play tenacious defense....if the coach teaching them knows the keys. But teaching and training them with offensive skills capable of scoring against such athletes is far more difficult....IMHO.
