Best I can do is a comparison between KFC (cockroaches and gravy) vs Chik-Fil-A sans insects, but, plus Chik-fil-a sauce.

"deepest team in Illinois history" is a stretch (if anyone really said so). But if Egor comes there's no way it won't be at least a 9 man rotation. Just the truth no matter how you slice it.

My main concern is that these European player(s) get cleared by the NCAA right away. If they don't, then banking one or two scholarships is risky, especially with the return of the "Masters of the Universe" scheduling attitude (always seems like Illini coaches over the years let success go to their heads).

Coach is going to have to play 10 next year. This team is 10 deep. That’s not a bad thing, but he has 10 great players.

There is Kylan, DGL, Morez, Tomislav, Carey Booth, Tre, Ty, Jake, Ben and hopefully Demin or the other wing the insiders have discussed if Demin doesn’t pan out.

No one knows the starters. Nobody will know until the team is together, practicing and evaluated. It’s whoever wants it bad enough.

This is the deepest and finest group of basketball players that I would say is in the history of Illini basketball, which is quite a statement.

We had great players leaving, and in my opinion, it was somewhat due to Chester leaving but I feel that it was primarily the intimidation of the incoming group of players. I can’t say that I blame them, but that’s how deep this team is.

Chemistry is so important with any sports team. You could have the most talented group of athletes, but if they’re chemistry is off, they won’t succeed and on the other hand, you can take a group of scrapping fighters like last year‘s team with great chemistry and have the sixth best team in the nation when the smoke clears. So that’s what will be interesting to me is to see how the chemistry evolves; this great group will go as their chemistry goes.
Kind of what it looks like now but last several years seemed like that until the season started and then the depth faded away. Lots of great players but fitting together with the system and teammates seems like the difference between good and great.

I believe you're right. He has already said he needs he needs a redshirt year to gain strength and muscle mass. A Fletch year for him. It's a wise decision--if Ivisic goes pro, he could be the ideal piece to a newer puzzle.

agreed. The team we see on the floor will probably be different in December than November. BU has a lot of mixing and matching to do. That will take time.

Even if we should lose out on Demin--god forbid--there are still a number of excellent wings in the portal and BU and staff are aware of them. Probably working some of them. But dying to get that Demin commit ASAP.

What rumors? No insider on here has stated this recently.

Not too hard to connect the dots.
Transfers can't come in spring anymore.
Fears was already talking about a recommitment... could just push graduation to December
