Upsets happen in a one-shot event.
Exactly. You get this far, no matter who you’re facing, you have a chance.

I think we provide UCONN a unique challenge (as we do most teams). Not sure they’ve faced a team like us. I think that’s in our favor, though I guess the reverse can also be said.

Either way hats off to this team. The adversity they’ve overcome is… elite.

Unlike ISU, pretty sure I'm not going to watch, read, or listen to anything about the matchup. I know UConn. I know they're great. I know everyone will give us long odds to win. I don't care. We have the best player on the court. We have a team that's connected. We have a heck of an offense and a puncher's chance. Can't wait to see what happens.

No matter what happens, this has been such a special season in my household. My wife calls all the players by their first name and cried tonight because they “feel like family.” My kids know every player and are constantly throwing out “I-L-L’s” to me around the house. The 04-05 season made me a fanatic as a kid…the 23-24 season has brought the rest of my family along for this wild ride with me. ILL!

Multiple examples in every single NCAA Tourney.
I picked those five examples because they were all cases of a seemingly invincible opponent falling. There are always upsets in the NCAA tournament, but there is a big difference between Clemson beating a suspect Arizona team tonight and what Villanova did in 1985 (not 84 like I originally posted).

I’m content. If we lose over the weekend I had a hell of a time watching this team.

If we win…idk what I’m gonna do with myself all next week.
I basically agree with you. The Sweet Sixteen would not have been satisfying for me given how good of a team we have had. But an Elite 8 is. but I hope the team doesn't feel this way. We can beat UConn if we play with focus for 40 minutes. We need to go out and punch them in the teeth to start the game and keep pushing.

Actually, the Elite 8 banner will definitely be enough for me if Purdue loses tomorrow. Want to be the last B1G team standing to quiet the Purdue fans.
