Didn't see a beer list... saw a bar menu. Is it really so hard to put a simple link on your website that says, FOOD MENU, DRINKS, BEERS (especially for a place known for their craft beers?) or the like? My daughter(s) will be spending Christmas in NYC, I'll pass on the recommendation for her/them to check it out.

I've looked again and can't find a beer menu. They write it on glass and it changes daily. Guessing 40 lines or more, all with some pretty exotic beers.

https://instagram.com/torst_nyc/ Instagram account, best I could find in a few minutes.

Other good beer places would be Blind Tiger (West Village), or anywhere here

Just got back from holiday for two weeks. Had some great beers in Barcelona, Netherlands, Prague. Topped off by our trip to Brussels for the Beer Fest Weekend. Other than the crappy weather and huge crowds, was an excellent time.

I am on untapped. Do a search for billthebrewer and friend me if interested and you can check out all the interesting brews I sampled.

Maker of boring beers buys another maker of boring beers. I don't see this one impacting my life as a beer drinker at all. I haven't figured out how I feel about it as an investor, however.

True, wonder what (if?) the regulators are going force them to relinquish in the way of brands.

I think this will be the case. Didn't that happen when SAB and Miller Coors joined forces?

Just got back from a trip to Vermont and NYC. Was able to find some Heady Topper while in Vermont. It is as good as advertised. It's the top rated IPA on the Beer Advocate site.

Anyone have any Christmas/holiday beer recommendations?

Anyone have any Christmas/holiday beer recommendations?

I normally buy several 6 packs of the holiday brews. We have a Christmas open house as it's just too hard to get everyone here at a specific time. We lay out a spread and kids/grandkids/friends come by throughout the day. Everyone that wants to tries some of the beers and we all make our comments on them. Kind of fun.

The only holiday brew I've tried so far is Sam Adams White Christmas. Good, not great, but I could drink several no problem.

One of our better and biggest local AZ breweries (Four Peaks) got bought out by Anheiser Busch. Another good craft brewer falls. I heard they're buying New Belgium, too. Tragic. :(

Tried Trout Slayer Wheat Ale the other day, and I have found my beer for the time being.

Trout Slayer Wheat Ale isn't a holiday beer, but it is a tasty beer.

One of my customers got me this beer the other week. It's not bad, and I do like Goose Island in general. Every beer has been solid.

I picked up two six packs earlier this month: Sierra Nevada Celebration (Fresh Hop Ale) and Alaskan Brewing Co. Winter Ale. Both were good, I preferred the Sierra. Not sure about availability back here in the midwest.

Good recommendations. Just got back to the Chicagoland area a couple of days ago and will need to hit up Binny's for some holiday brews.

As pointed out, Christmas Ale is the holiday beer I can think of.

If you can get your hands on it, Alpha Klaus from 3F is really good as well. Chicago/Indiana only but damn good.

May just be a timing thing, but Bourbon County Stout just released a few weeks ago. Can age for years (hold on to some if you can), but really good now as well. Be careful.....14%.

My brother went to University of Montana. We took a lot of this with us on our rafting trips in the Missoula area and I'll always love it because of that. Scape Goat (IPA) is great as well.

If you can get to Missoula, check out Kettle House brewing. Hilarious beer names (Old/New Bong Water, etc.), and good beers.

I have plenty of BCS in my cellar. Got the Proprietors for this Christmas.

Found another brewery in NYC that I am mesmerized by. Other Half Brewing has some amazing beers of their own, really good collaborations, and the brewery is pretty funky. Might be my favorite brewery in the area right now. Their distribution is not great (and demand is high), but give it a shot if you can.
