When was the last time Illinois had a 5-star recruit come to Illinois?

I would say Dee and before that was Deon Thomas and then probably Marcus Liberty. I don't think they had stars back when Thomas and Liberty were in H.S. In all the recruiting services they were both top ten and Liberty was number one by several of them.

Has there ever been a situation where a team had 2 sets of brothers playing with one another? I would like to see that happen MF/TF and JCL/ICL.

That 2010 class ended up with three 4 stars on Rivals: Richmond, Leonard, and Head. Richmond had been a five star at one point, but he dropped down.

I love always love the star discussion. Like players are branded with their star rating as they leave the prospect factory.

Ha, they kind of are. I think Loren Tate says it best actually. The star ranking is a pretty good indicator of what type of prospect you're getting, but it's not fool proof, and once they step foot on campus you see exactly what type of kid you got and the stars no longer matter.

2010 in Rivals Meyers was ranked 31 and Jereme was ranked 35 both 4 stars. The last 5 star was ranked 27th so close.
