I must repent for doubting the First Four prophecy.

We will finish 9-9 and get a win in the BTT.

I would take that in a heartbeat. It may mean groce stays, which may be bad, but I just want to see winning basketball now. I would love to enjoy the rest of the season

I'd love some decent-to-good hoops this season from our squad, but I'd MUCH rather get it for a 30 game stretch than a 7 game stretch.

It'll be interesting to see the line on this game, feels like ILL -2.5 if I had to guess. Carr for PSU has had a great string of games since we played them last, starting to be the early impact guy I thought he'd be for them. Think it'll be close again.

We got this win. Losing that last one to Penn State kinda hurt. We got this. We going on a win streak to end the season.

I was at the PSU game, right in the middle of the season ticket holders. It really stung to be down by 20 at half although it was satisfying to watch the student section go quiet in the second half. No one was celebrating on the way out. Everyone knew PSU was saved by the clock.

Can we keep that momentum going at home? Depends how they play, which sounds obvious, except Illini fans know that better than everybody.

Let's go Illini!

Just come out and play hard. No matter what happens I'll continue to support these Illini if they fight.

Go Illini

So odd how the demeanor changes after one win against a solid team without their top-2 player....in a rivalry game. Just shows the erratic rollercoaster that is a fans' emotions.

And by odd, I mean sick.

Every game from here on out in conference is winnable. Sure would be nice to finally break that streak of not winning two B1G games in a row in the conference schedule. It's been almost two years now?

Yup, Feb 28 and Mar 4 of 2015. And we needed to play Northwestern and Nebraska to make that happen.

But earlier in Feb of 2015, we did beat PSU, Rutgers, MSU and Michigan consecutively. That is a better memory.

All six games fit in the winnable category...

I don't believe we have shown any signs that we have the ability to be consistent enough to win 6 games in a row against any Big 10 level competition.

We haven't won back to back regular season big ten games since March 2015, so I'll go with Penn State 74-68

Groce's calling card is digging a big hole then scrambling together an unbelievable streak to almost do something good. I think we win. But if we lose, I think we turn it on later this season just late enough to almost do something good.
