I'd like a Mark Smith and Mayan Kiir double commit day to round out our class - National Champions by Junior year.

This looks right. In reality, I think it's a 3-way race between MSU, Kensucky, and Illinois. As weird as it feels to say it with that group of competitors, I still feel good about Mark Smith being an Illini. Maybe it's some leftover kool-aid from the Underwood hire.

I think it's more of a race between us and MSU.

It might be alphabetical if it was done by a Kentucky beat writer...

I know this does not belong in the recruiting thread so Dan please forgive me. Speaking of Kentucky, did you know the toothbrush was invented in Kentucky? If it was invented anywhere else, it would have been the teethbrush. :D

Now let's hope we can beat them and the others for Mark Smith.

Along these same lines, I've always wondered why it's Bigfoot, and not Bigfeet. Unless he really only has one big foot and has been hopping around all these years.

^^ Jeremiah Tilmon just now retweeted his original commitment tweet

Amazing job by Underwood and Walker keeping all of the signed recruits on board.

I kinda like Tilmons twitter demeanor. Nothing the entire process then retweet the original commitment as of nothing ever happened.

Losing Tilmon would now qualify as a nut-punch for me. I am both ecstatic and terrified.

I have no inside knowledge, but I am not planning on wearing a cup. He has stuck with us through a coaching change and speculation, innuendo, other coaches a-callin. I would guess he's ready for June and C-U

I thought it was weird...how would any of us know if he has NOT contacted any of the coaches?

I am sure some get wind of a coach contacting another coach, but I doubt there is any report saying "after a poll of the aau and chicago coaches, coach Underwood has not contacted any of them!"

You must have missed this article on the front page of IL Loyalty yesterday :

Chicago AAU coaches weigh in on Underwood

Was a bit of a bummer to hear Nick Irvin say Lamont Evans "is like a brother to me" but hopefully BU will get someone with similar Chicago nexus for the staff.

It's a sure thing that if Evans had come to Illinois, Irvin would not have said that.
