Rayvonte. I think that's it since Leonard.

I really hope we can land Francesco. It's a fun name to say.

I agree with this statement. When I was watching his highlight video I was thinking to myself "Who was the last player we had that could grab a rebound, go straight up and dunk it or take a power dribble and throw down the hammer.

I always thought Bertrand was pretty athletic.

Then he plays with what will likely be a very talented roster. I'm hoping you don't mean that MSU is nothing without Bridges.

Not at all, but kids are finicky, if he sees himself "aligned" with one person, the same one that hosted him and told him his "secret" of returning...then he may look at that as a valid reason to go...just saying if all that is accurate, what does he feel if Bridges specifically leaves after next year, which he will.

Dang, Loyola!

And Illini Bluffs 6-8 Taylor Bruninga, another highly-regarded uncommitted senior, headed to Loyola for a visit soon.

Cam Krutwig, Christian Negron and Lucas Williamson a heck of a local recruiting trio for Porter Moser & Loyola...

Loyola and coach Porter Moser add to their stellar recruiting class by picking up a commitment from Young senior Lucas Williamson.

Rumor has it that Bruninga wants to room with Chastain.

No worries, it just caught me off-guard. Let's hope we both can cheer for him in O&B. And if Bruninga joins, we'll cheer for him too.

I would love to have Badocchi playing right away, Bruninga a preferred or red shirt and THT coming in next year.

Pair them with Frazier, Williams, Smith, Badocchi and Johnson, I think we would be back in a hurry then.

Wow, what a hyped up recruitment, can't wait to see the next tweet that has Smith in the 2nd round of a mock NBA draft and that he is evaluating hiring an agent.

When was the last time a recruit blew up this late to bonafide blue blood status?

No joke, Loyola is going to be tough. They've got Chastain back from the knee injury, Donte Ingram who started at Simeon during DJ and Murrow's junior year will be back, Henricksen picked Krutwig over Tilmon on his All-State team and says Krutwig is the best passing big man he's seen since he started scouting (plus the kid is a monster, looks like a pro wrestler), Negron had legit high d1 interest and Lucas Williamson just led Young to a state championship and might have had the best state finals weekend along with Horton-Tucker of anybody down there. With Wichita State gone, Loyola might be in the Dance next year, two years at the most if the class stays together.

Decent article on Mark Smith. The article mentions Smith might take an unofficial to Illinois.

I think some are missing the point of Smith making mention of the ILLINI bringing in some really good talent?

Does the kid know something that we do not?

What constitutes good talent, in light of his own abilities?

Does he know of players and knows his destination already?

Or is he just going through the Lovefest that is Mark Smith right now?

Clearly the answer here is to offer Bruninga immediately.

Well those 2 together may very well end up being better than what we had last year, minus Hill....lol

While I'd be surprised if that ever happened, it certainly won't until they are at least juniors.

What must it be like for this kid for Everyone Who Matters and a lot who don't reading everything but his toilet habits (and who knows, maybe even that) to determine where he's going to go to school. Really, it's like Kremlinology, where they studied who had been airbrushed out of the latest photographs. Here we're discussing who Mark has talked to, when and what about, based on what this guy or another said, and where he went when. Sheesh. I'm sure there are some who are more concerned about him than their own kid.

No kidding. That's why I honestly don't think Smith knows where he wants to go. Someone on twitter mentioned that Smith was getting sick of the process, but when blue bloods are reaching out, you certainly have to hear what they have to say. I know I'm sick of this saga, and I'm just a biased observer. Regardless, it seems like this thing is going to go into late April at least.
