My Loyola over Miami upset happened on Thursday, but I missed SFA over TT.

My NMSU over Clemson upset special didn't materialize yesterday.

Today, I think Loyola has a great shot to beat Tennessee. So yeah, I'll say it. Loyola over Tennessee.

Dear Alabama, if UMBC can knock off a 1 seed. So can you. :)

Hoping Loyola, Michigan & tOSU can pull out wins today!

Let's not forget PSU taking on Notre Dame in South Bend at 11:00 Central.
ESPN has this one. C'mon, Knit me a Lion.

Thanks, had forgotten about it. Was thinking it was tomorrow.

Sounds like Mike Watkins is still out & will be a road game for PSU.
Will be tough to steal one from the Irish at their house on St Patricks Day???

Negatory. I know this is a big debate - e.g. show how good our conference is, but since we need recruits, I don't want some of our closer competition dong well at the dance. The 'which conference is better' debate is good with fans - but I think recruits are looking at teams and how successful they are and this is the indicator of success and exposure - so I am on the other side of this debate. Once we get back to the top and we're in that list of hoping B1G goes far, then I would back off on this stance - but until then, they are the enemy.:(

The other side of that coin is that they will rule us out because the B1G would be viewed as a weak conference, and they would rather play in a perceived stronger conference. The B1G perceived as strong will help us with recruiting, and I will root for the success of the teams in the tourney. :thumb:

I guess I would call that step 1.5 whereas step 2 was to get to the top of the conference and I see your point but until we complete step 1 which is to get good enough recruits to get in the position you describe - still wishing ill to all others until ILL gets there. :thumb:

Happy Day

Apparently Colson went out with an injury (early second half?). It's too bad for him; he is a warrior on the court and worked extremely hard to be in basketball shape when his foot was healed. That's the game, though.

Apparently Isaac Haas is going to try to play with a fractured elbow, if the NCAA approves his brace (and Painter lets him.) I love those type of guys.

I was wondering if haas was gonna try. I imagine I would pursue all avenues if I was in his shoes.

Speaking of the Big Ten, Penn State just upset Notre Dame 73-63 in the NIT.

Nittany Lions will travel to either Oregon or Marquette for the quarterfinals.

This year's NIT has been pretty chalky as this was only the second upset by seed and the other one was a game where Boise State had to play at Washington since the Broncos' home arena is being used for the first two rounds of the NCAA tournament.

On the women’s side Uconn led 94-31 at halftime and won 140-52. Original scoring record was 121. Other team only scored 4 in the 4th quarter. Part of me wonders if Uconn was trying to win by 100.

Connecticut's win over St. Francis (PA) makes its season record 33-0 and it has won all of its games but two by double digits. The team is a juggernaut.

Fixed it for you. They don't have any depth this year. I watched a few minutes of one of their conference tourney games and the announcers were talking about how Gino was looking for someone off his bench that he could trust to use in the NCAA tourney.

Man, it's so hard for me to root for other Big Ten teams like you guys do. Like, I know the conference doing well could benefit us, but I just can't bring myself to do it.

Anyway, boring day so far. Hope some of the other underdogs (especially Loyola) can make things more interesting. OSU vs Gonzaga should be really good.

Nice - Colson injured near the end of the third quarter (came back in late in the 4th) but PSU was already up at that point - leading by 14 at the end of the third - so it sounds like they had it well in hand. Good win for PSU.
