We need offensive linemen. Lots and lots of big strong offensive linemen.

We'll add 3 or 4 as we always do, Henry & then Buford would be a great start. Most likely we'll have 4 Soph starters & it looks like they've all added strength, hopefully improved technique also. Our biggest need(s) are a couple of impactful LB's & some talented WR's & then probably DE.

I think our Biggest need is OL still until we have 10-15 who we feel can play without any kind of drop off we dont have enough. a good LB would be nice but im not as worried about it as some, I have heard very very good things about Tolson from someone I respect and he says he will come in ready to play and be hard to keep from playing

Kid is 5-10" and just 160lbs. I am afraid how will be able take hits from B10 players.

I think he will be fine. They will have to catch him first.:)
Bama, OU, OSU, and several others didn't think so either. And I'm sure Boese will have him heavier than 160-170 by the time he hits the field. He's only a junior in high school.

I have high hopes for Tolson as well. But 1 isn't enough. For us to win, we need 3 that can match up athletically with OSU and be physical enough to take on Wisconsin and Michigan

If Rocky Harvey (there's a name from the past) can play RB at Illinois, this kid can play QB.

One of my all time favorite Illini football games and memories.......Rocky Harvey on a break away run at Michigan and diving into the end zone for a TD in a big Illini comeback win. Talent trumps height.

+1 LB is clearly the biggest need. Cooper is priority #1 right now for the staff. Phillips is the only proven LB starter that we have on the roster & he's a SR. Hansen & Harding are expected to start this year, so hopefully both can stay healthy. I wonder if we'll get involved with instate kid Jansey. I haven't watched his film yet, but I see he has offers from WVa, Cincy & Iowa St.

If you're interested, here's all of Khalil Tate's snaps from a game last season against Oregon.

Watching those highlights of Tate makes me think IWill better put some weight on, which I am sure he will after at least 1 year in College.

Slightly interesting short read. An Oklahoma take on U o I's efforts in STL and the uptick in Illinois interest. Nothing too inflammatory.

Yeah, up until the last couple of sentences. I hope the author gets to revisit this topic at a later date, and of course, will have to eat crow to go with the hubris already on his plate. Personally, I think these guys are in too deep with #ILLgang19 and mutual support for any mindchanging.

Could Isaiah Williams not be Heisman Johnny Manziel-esque?

Unfortunately Marquez Beason is going to be a Heisman Jabrill Peppers-esque. So those 2 will be stealing votes from each other.

This escalated quickly. From 2 win seasons to arguing about who is the more deserving Heisman candidate.:thumb:
