There was an error somewhere down the list, that they corrected later, but 8/19 Trent's should roll out.

1. Trent Frazier (8/19/16)
2. Damonte Williams (9/9/16)
3. Jeremiah Tillmon (9/9/16)
4. Javon Pickett (9/9/16)
5. Kris Wilkes (9/9/16)
6. Abu Kigbab (9/16/16)
7. Mayan Kiir (10/7/16)

Ty for the info, we will have 6 available come mid September. I would like to say we will already have 2018 roster filled by then , so there use will be on recruits going forward. I don't underestimate BU and staff, there will be a big 2018 recruit, and 1 grad transfer, they have had irons in the fire for this, the recruit not so sure, but we shall see a grad after summer school is over!;):illinois:

Hard pass on another project...5th year and or 2019

Don't kid yourself, at this point, I expect Underwood would seriously hurt someone to get a mediocre grad transfer big and we will take anyone we can get.

I think we over value playing experience when you are sending a freshman out there to get slaughtered or the value to Kipper of minutes at the 5.

Zdor visit is proof we will take any big ATM. Not much video on him defense wise I seen. If we just pick up a warm body, guess we take what we can get. Visit turns into commit, he is able to get into camp ASAP. Last year Matic didn't show till school started, he lost all the Fletch affect he desperately needed. This guy commits, hope he is willing to work, has bbiq, and can get started soon. At this point , he needs to get acclimated and conditioned, work on rest as he gets with program. Really not what I had hoped would happen, oh well.:pray::illinois:

At least he can shoot and Arkansas is a good offer. I saw some videos and he looked like he has potential. Someone will pop and I do think we will get a grad transfer too. Plus if Geo can get up to 250lbs over the summer like BU mentioned I think it will be him. I think he has more skill than people realize. BU seems high on him. Geo brings things others didnt have and if he gets to 250, must be guarded, and can pass like BU says he can then that will be great.

Just watched some clips of Zdor, he is tall, can make lay-ups, and can shoot the 3. Looked more active than Matic.

Cool! I’m from rolling meadows! Not a place I think of
As a basketball powerhouse so good to see!

And I'm from Schaumburg! Beat Eddy Curry and Thornwood for the state championship! Bought time we have a player coming out of that fine institution again!

This is true desperation mode. I guess beggars can't be choosers.

I would feel better if he was redshirted and we got a 5th year big. If not, don't see how he's much different than Matic.

Man, this situation is just bad. Hope a 5th year pops up soon.

It's the 11th hour. ~95% (at least) of the good HS bigs are already signed. Share the angst, but fervently hope the staff pulls a couple of rabbits out of their hat. Clock is ticking.

Since my optimism of a few months ago has pummeled me repeatedly, Ive decided to stick to pessimism.

As the days pass without any positive recruiting news, I find it grows easily and is often rewarded.

As a fan of Illinois major sports, you really need to be into desperation and hope.

Did you see the 10 minute sophomore year highlight video from Mount Mission School? He looked very skilled and solid fundamentally, like he had been playing ball for a while. I was surprised. He also looked very skinny. Since then, he played his junior season at Sagemont in Florida and senior year he was a teammate of Bryce Golden at St. James. I can't find any meaningful recent video, but he has added significant strength. 247sports lists him as a 6-10 225 small forward.

At 6'10" and 225# take him. He is more than 6'6" and can fill in with foul problems or injuries. We used Ebo last year and he may be close to last year's Ebo. May be the stats that were quoted about BU's bigs at SA with 2 pts avg has something to do with our inability to recruit bigs. You would think you would have at least two put back offensive rebounds a game.

Biggest concern was that phantom screen he was trying to set at :51.

Shades of Matic. Can't find that video with him seeing like 5 screens on no one but gave me PTSD for sure watching that video. I do like the dunks and steal

Lol. That was a set play, a double ball screen. 42 picks and rolls. Zdor picks and pops. The point guard's defender went under the initial ball screen and doubled down on 42. So there was no one left for Zdor to pick. Meanwhile, Zdor's man picked up the point guard, so Zdor had a wide open three; which he drained. Had the PG defender gone over the initial screen, he runs into Zdor's ball screen. That is how a double ball screen works. Weber used to run it with McCamey, Davis, and Tisdale or Cole.

Zdor. Seems to shoot the ball solidly and from deep and basically looks like a Finke replacement. Couldn't find a highlight that gives me confidence in his use of his left hand or going left. Rebounds well based on activity as he does crash the boards and has nice touch on offensive rebounds. Defense is up in the air as I couldn't find much on his defense, mostly zone defense played there and nothing makes me shudder more than watch high school kids play zone. I couldn't shake the Finke comparison while watching him, although if you add some more muscle to him, and we do that well at least, he isn't afraid to mix it up underneath which could be a +1 one on Finke. He isn't a 5 imo as he doesn't seem to have a "presence" underneath. You know the Rodman, Green, Barkley type of "that ball is mine".
