I saw Underwood, he wasn't too hard on those guys. What's the world coming to, you can't even get after players on the court these days! Some of you guys must have played for Mary Poppins.

So you think playing at Weber St is the more logical step to pro ball?

It's different for every kid. Zdor might know at this point that pro ball isn't in his future. If so, and that was a factor in the decision, then great. But if they think even for one second that pro ball is the goal, then I believe they made the wrong choice. Who knows? Who cares? It's behind the UI. Wish him luck and hope he made the correct choice. Move on!

If he thinks pro ball is realistic, then you may have a point. However, the kid is a low 3-star recruit with primarily mid-major offers, and if I am an adult in his life, I probably would have a heart-to-heart with him about his chances and what is the best situation for him if he actually wants to have fun with the rest of his basketball career by playing instead of riding pine (in all likelihood).

Again, it could be something else, but to me, this seems like the true Occam's razor answer. It's pretty clear he would have been one of the lowest-rated bigs in the entire conference, even if he was by default the second-highest ranked big on our roster.

I don't see the point of offering any more '18s unless the staff is really certain they want to come.

Isn't this kinda like going to a girl you like and telling her that you'd like to ask her out but you need to know if she'd say yes first?

pssshhh time to move on from Whitney
Why? Liddell, I would agree, but we seem to have a few things in our favor with Whitney. Is it just the general pessimism that comes as a result of our recent recruiting?

More like, chat up the girl and make sure you are getting some positive signals before asking her out. Especially after she has watched you get shot down by every other girl in the bar.

At this point, any offer to a '18er is committable. Time to start showing that we actually know where we stand with the recruits.

Don't know what the scoop on that kid from Garden City is but if everything is in order I'd offer him without hesitation. Aggressive, active, coordinated and 6'11!

So basically, we are wearing beer goggles at this point in the night.

More stars than Parker Braun at least?

From an Inquirer (Philadelphia) article about him:

Since the season began, Mosco (his coach) said he’s heard from the coaching staffs at UNC-Greensboro, UMass, Radford, Portland and Santa Clara in regards to his available big man.

The last of those four schools is especially intriguing to Pinkney.

“I just like warm weather and I always wanted to live in California for a little bit,” Pinkney said. “I want to travel, and being on the West Coast gives me an opportunity to do that.”

What, something happened to the top 20 recruiting class we have coming in next year? I understand Kane's issue is minor and that he's a high ranked student who has to clear up a single class, so that sounds like it's a non issue. Some other defection in that class, Calvin?

BTW, negativity is like paying interest on a debt you may never owe.
