I don't need to prove anything to you man. All I'm saying is I told my dad and several others I thought he would be the best out of the class. I am an average fan that didn't even play basketball. I have however spent hours on end watching high school basketball highlights. Sorry you are offended pal.

Not offended, pal.

Just calling you out for being so all knowing that you can see that a freshman has no visible resemblance ("not even close" ) to Frazier and in the same breath, you knew without any proof that Frazier was the real deal. Need some evidence before I just take your word for it. You offered none so that's that.

Made it to Lexington today, and i’ve heard more about the kid who decommitted than any kind of excitement for Whitney.
Must be nice.

I was hoping they would be all hyped up over the kid that just committed. Also I really like that he plays the same position as Whitney... (y)

I didn't even realize the kid was so young to be honest. That would explain why I thought "not even close". I just thought he looked really really raw. Way too early to be putting any name similarities out there. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

No worries. We're all in this thing together! Illini brotherhood.

Knowing how spoiled they are there, I'm sure they find any recruit outside of the top 35 to be an underwhelming pick-up.

I'm sure you knew he was. Can you refer us back to your post with that proclamation so we can bathe in the light of your infinite wisdom?

Man Trent looked good. Think the whole MS recruitment put TF on the backburner in our minds but he looks smooth on offense. Had a sick pass in that video and made plenty of plays.

Cockburn, Whitney, Timme, and Shannon puts us in Kentucky's league in terms of talent.

Nice to see we're now putting together 4 man classes when once again we have 3 available scholarships. Hopefully we have a different result this year......at least in terms of numbers. Would like to see 3 in the early signing period, and not only one. (Even if it was a huge one)

4 is a safe bet. Now 6-7, like last year, is bonkers. No evidence, but I feel that last season's attrition was a one time deal. Not suggesting attrition won't happen. Just not at last year's rate.

Talent fits many, many systems. Players/athletes that "fit the style of play" is not descriptive at all, you can make a case for any recruit that he "fits our style of play." Especially when you recruit players like Parker Braun who is undersized but relatively quick (and fans make a case, before his decision, of how well he "fits our system") and then go out and recruit Adonis De La Rosa who is big but 300 pounds. Makes you wonder, who exactly does not fit our system? Certainly a very small group of players in a universe somewhere. :)

And then... they may all transfer next year. :)

Trent was not recruited by BU, neither was Black, or Kipper. And Dee, Deron, Luther, Augie, and Roger were not recruited by Weber. A clear indication that good, talented players fit may systems.

Top recruits really do not care about plan B, C, D, E, or F recruits anyway.

And then have no OV left... "all the best players available" is a HUGE group, vague, and not descriptive at all.

So we come back full circle, the ability to reel in 4 and 5 star players, and really "talent", who fits again many, many systems.

Trent was actually recruited by BU when he was still at SFA. One of the reasons he stayed after coaching change.

It would get real interesting if Whitney leaves Lexington without committing there or shortly thereafter. Lots of dynamics with this one. Local HS (Roselle Catholic) vs MIF, national writers (Zagoria, Snow, Meyer, etc) vs local writers (Sturdy, Werner, Piper, etc) and Mom vs Dad (supposedly they are like a cat and dog.). CB's all point to UK. National guys all like UK. Would there be a bigger reversal in recruiting if Whitney picks UI??

Lots of things that will go into the decision. I think Whitney likely walks away un-committed, and schedules more OV's. At least I hope. :shield:
