Weather Forecast not looking too good for Saturday night as TD Gordon is supposed to stall in the Midwest late this week.

Did that -7 come out before or after the world knew about Dudek and Smalling?

You gotta be effing kidding me.

When you consider Shaedon Meadors and Jalen Greene, you could say we'd be down our top 4 WR's.

I would say, Coach R Smith, you may begin to work your offensive magic, and like RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!

It would be really nice to just put away an opponent that is (on paper) inferior to boost our confidence up before traveling to Chicago to play USF. It also might help swell ~1,000 more fans in to the stadium next Saturday if we put on an exciting beatdown vs. Western.

I only got to see a bit of the game last weekend, but we obviously have a ways to go. Suspensions ending would help a lot.

Not sure if this has been posted or not, but this is the game where U of I students can get two free tickets to the game. Unfortunately, the ticket office is requiring students to access their free tickets online like there is going to be some huge demand for these tickets. Instead, they should just have a couple booths set up in Grange Grove with big stacks of tickets and give as many tickets to each student that comes up asking for them. Would love to see a surprisingly large number of students swarming to get in the game.

Illinois St might be somewhat competitive, but Western isn't at that level.

Friendly WIU fan here. I know that you never really know year-to-year, but last year we beat down Illinois State in Normal 31-14. So, I wouldn't really say that we're not at ISU's level. Doesn't really mean much for this weekend's game, but I just wanted to point that out.

Champaign
As a poster mentioned above, lots of rain expected starting tonight through the weekend in Champaign, maybe 4-6 inches. So some of the grass parking lots could be closed. Game time temps are forecast for the low 60's with 50% chance of rain during the game and 90% for four hours leading up to kickoff. Of course with weather, this is subject to change.

I think putting us at 105 is reasonable given the personnel we had on the field last week. We're going to be a lot better when we get our defensive starters back. I think Rod Smith and AJ Bush both have a better feel for the offense and what we're capable of. As far as play calling, if we don't pass on 3/4 of the first downs in the first half putting us in 2nd and 10 most of the time, I'll be happy. Quick runs, short pass routes, and lots of misdirection. We'll be fine, although it really depends on who we decide to play. I guess there's one way to get your tru Fr better and more experienced... start them three games in a row.

what the eff

Come on, Football Gods. This is stupid.
Twitter blocked at work, can't see. Should I assume that the 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams are all suspended/injured and we are going to draft an All-star team from Centennial and Uni High to play for us?

OK, that had come out before. Thank you, I just worried there was something additional.

You can point that out all you want but that would be the first time WIU has beat ISU in football since 2010. The WIU program is inferior to ISU even with that win last year. The original poster's point still stands.
