Beg to differ. That Liddell is going to take his OV and move it up, is massively better than the alternative. Doesn't mean we're the favorite, but it appears we have a legit shot. Obviously, legit is very subjective. We'll get to make our case and have the last visit. Happy with that.

Really, of all the BU commits, only Smith and Ayo were heavily covered/talked about. All others were very low key, in my world. It seemed that the previous regime, everyone was talked about to the 1,000,000th degree.
To be fair, he never said which visit might be moved up and/or which two schools may be getting dropped. It is possible that he is dropping Illinois and that the in home is a courtesy to let the staff know that. So this could be either good or bad news. I still keep coming back to my analogy that recruiting is like Schrodinger's Cat...

Maybe he brings in both Ohio State and Illinois to make mention respectfully that he his narrowing down the schools to those two with a commitment to come rather quickly..say by the weekend if not sooner than that. If this is the case, I would venture to say MIzzou is the choice and the recent commitment of Jackson to Minnesota, maybe the swing vote. If Jackson and Liddell were both top targets of Mizzou and he was hesitant about playing with Jackson, now that is out and McKinney and Liddell can own Mizzou together. Meh...hope I am wrong.
For reference I see Brian Snow is ininuating the same thing today in the teaser for a premium article.

Of course he is. The term "insider" gets thrown around a lot in jest and is sort of a charged term at this point, but @stuemke5 is about the closest thing we have to an actual insider. He clearly has some kind of source that doesn't mind him sharing actual tidbits here and there, and he has a history of being accurate.

At least half of these recruiting service teases are simply click baits. Whether Snow falls into this category, in this instance, remains to be seen. One thing's for sure, Liddell is moving up his timetable, so a decision is much closer than originally planned.
WRT to @stuemke5, he's been spot on numerous times.

Not necessarily. If someone reads something on a premium site and then disseminates it afterward without authorization, whether on another message board or on Twitter or wherever else, then that is unethical and violates the terms of service of at least the premium site and possibly the medium of dissemination.
However, if someone comes by that information honestly through their own sources and shares, there is absolutely no reason not to share it widely as long as their source agrees to it. Generally speaking, @stuemke5 appears to have his scoops before they are typically reported on the premium sites, and therefore seems to have an actual source of his own. There is absolutely no reason not to share with us, then, as long as his source is on board with it.
He's taken visits to Ohio St. and Mizzouri. Now he's ready to move up his timetable. Can't see how that's good for Illinois....even if the Illini still get a visit. Seems the kid knows and has seen what he wants. Hope we get the chance to change his mind.
Sometimes situations of this nature occur... and sometimes they are pretty blatant. I know there are subscribers of premium sites that also visit and post on IL, and of those people, most are able to keep their mouths shut. And there are a few good citizens that do their part to report posts that are obviously reposts of something on 24/7 or whatever.
But we do have a few posters that have a bonafide link to coaches (or something). These are the ones that I pay attention to. These types, as a rule, do not out their source, and they tend to be pretty guarded by principle. But they will let things drop that don't make their way to premium sites. Like many have mentioned, Stu is part of that crowd. Luckylefty is another.
EDIT: I saw this in the scholarship grid thread, but not here. Tray Jackson committed to Minny yesterday. This is a bouncy, athletic 2019 wing also being recruited by... you guessed it... Misery. Just some additional tea leaves for y'all to read. May be nothing.

If we get a visit, and he throws out the other 2 remaining OVs it is down to 1/3 vs 1/5, & we at least get an at-bat...as is there is some risk with the late visit we never get to the plate.

Vastly better than pulling the plug on his recruitment and committing. It appears we'll be given the opportunity to make our case. And that is most definitely a very good thing.
