Something small that makes these unis a lot better/cleaner/sharper is the opposite color waistband. I hope we do the same. Blue waistband on white and orange unis, orange waistband on blue unis. Just my opinion. It’s pretty common to do a dark color waistband on white unis, but I don’t recall too many schools doing an opposite color waistband to their solid color jerseys (like we could potentially to a blue/orange combo). Might make us stand out from the rest.

Couple of things:

First, that link to "bsn" is not what our final jerseys are going to look like. That was probably a stock image of a concept that Nike decided to use for another purpose. Trust me, that's not how our jerseys are going to be leaked...

Second, don't worry, our jersey is not going to feature a massive logo on the front. The thing I have an issue with is more subtle than that.

Third, based on some things I've seen some people say, I think "you're going to like the way [we] look. I guarantee [am pretty sure about] it."

I guess my interpretation of that would be something like same uniforms this year just without the zig-zag perhaps? Maybe they can just do that on the fly?

Then the move to the kind of unis we're talking about in here comes next year?

What would be the best news is if we were getting back on schedule to where Duke and Kentucky aren't getting the new uniform "system" two years before we do. But we'll just have to see I guess.

That was a real curveball!

Dropping the zig zags came to mind. Or maybe they make the fighting illini throwbacks the default and make an away jersey to match

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if what I saw is the “tweaked” version of old uniforms, especially because they said that the football set was “tweaked” by Lovie and Josh. I wouldn’t call what I saw drastically different. That being said, if what I saw was the 2019 set, then this year will really only have minor minor changes this year.

I do doubt then that we are getting the throwback then. Guess we will find out soon.

The football uniforms were very substantially changed.

I am officially confused. Sounds like whatever we're wearing next year is imminent so let's just see what we get there I guess.
