Section 303, upper deck, is supposedly one of 2 sections for the Alumni. The other is the first level, I think 103? But maybe both are for all Illini fans. Will also be at the Alumni pregame gathering at the alumni center next door to the football stadium from 1:30 to 3:30.
ah ok I don't have the tickets on me but I believe we are in 103...we may hit the pregame party...rain is in the forecast...

Nov. 17 Iowa game time will be announced on either Nov. 5th or Nov. 11th. (On some weeks the media folks are allowed to hold up game time announcements until 1 week prior)

Speaking of, the Nov. 3rd Minnesota home game has just been announced a 2:30pm CT (BTN) kickoff.
Noice - time for a butt kicking of the boat rowers

Here is my off the wall prediction. 200-0 or 20-17 or 34-3 or... all of course UI victories. Yes we win three games in one shot.

#illini OC Rod Smith wouldn't give too much on QB situation but admitted that this week is probably open more than previously because "MJ (Rivers) did enough to warrant an opportunity to see if he can come in and compete for the job."

Lovie Smith press conference
https://twitter.com/srrichey

Lovie: It's never any fun talking after a disappointing loss. The last couple weeks we haven't played our best football, but we've played two pretty good football teams. #Illini

Lovie: We talked briefly with our football team this morning about the last game. What I want our entire group to do is move on. #Illini

Lovie: Whenever you turn the ball over five times and don't take it away as many times it's going to be tough duty. We didn't play well in all three phases. We have to move on. #Illini

Lovie: This next game is about as important of a game that we've had. If we can correct some of those things and play the way we're capable of playing ... I think we'll have some positive results. #Illini

Lovie: Changes you might make during the game can carry on. Sometimes that's not the case. #Illini

Lovie: As far as who will start this week (at QB) we'll go through practice. #Illini

Lovie: We have two guys (at QB) we feel can help our football team win and are capable of leading their football team to a win. #Illini

Lovie: Both guys have a strength that's maybe a little bit better than the other. AJ can move around and buy time more with his feet to throw the ball. M.J. is more of a passer. #Illini

Lovie: Practice does make a difference. That's what we're doing (with QBs). #Illini

Lovie: We would like to cause more fumbles. Take the ball away that way. We practice it, so the emphasis is on it. #Illini

Lovie: Lere Oladipo hasn't played a lot this year. Still working himself back into shape. He did some good things (at Wisconsin). #Illini

Lovie: Guys know if they're productive when they get an opportunity to play we'll get them into the mix. #Illini

Lovie: I know (Illinois turned Maryland LB) Tre Watson's a good football player. He's smart. He knows the game. He's played a lot of football. #Illini

This game will come down to the wire. Hopefully we can pull it out.

This would be an awesome win. If we lose big, we probably know that another win from here on out will be a real challenge. However, if we come out fired up and can get a road victory, all of a sudden we are still .500 over halfway through the season with our only losses coming to top [35] teams (wouldn't surprise me if Purdue ends up ranked before the season is over ... they look good, and they're simply fighting the stigma of the early losses at this point) and games remaining vs. Minnesota, Nebraska and Northwestern. It sounds corny to phrase every week's game as "super important" or whatever, but that's the life of being a team just under bowl eligibility. In fact, I will go out on a limb to say that if we lose this one, we will win 0-1 more games this year (that home date vs. Minnesota will decide it, IMO). However, if we win this one and get some confidence back and more importantly show that we are maybe a little better than we have looked the past couple of weeks, we could still get to 6 wins. If you can beat Maryland on the road, you can beat Minnesota at home and take one of Nebraska (still only won one game, let's not forget) and Northwestern (just beat that Rutgers team we killed by 3). So, let's win. :)

We are going to see what kind of back Reggie Corbin is this week. Assuming MJ starts and Epstein carries are limited/0, Reggie is looking at a lot of carries and taking a lot of hits.

I'm not going to take too much stock out of a loss to Maryland. I think they are the second toughest opponent remaining. I could see the Illini losing here but beating Nebraska, Minnesota and Northwestern, depending on injuries. I'm not expecting the Illini to win all three, but I wouldn't be shocked, either. I'll be pleasantly surprised if the Illini win this Saturday. I can't really figure Maryland out. I'm not sure how they beat Texas and got destroyed by Temple.

Corbin is coming home. He should have a lot of family and friends in the stands. So, I agree. A big day for Reggie!!

Which is worrisome given the amount of times Reggie has come up limping (hamstring issue I believe) after carries this season. I hope that he is 100% healthy and gets 20-25 touches this game, and that Bonner can get 5-10 carries as well.

I don't know why I do this to myself but I am optimistic for this game :illinois:

A blowout loss would be a bad sign for those other games though. That would indicate that we have to play much better. Even if we had still lost against Purdue and Wisconsin, staying closer to them would have left me more confident about the rest of the schedule.

Seems to me a good match of their O not being as strong - Thinking we can do this 24-21 on a rainy day.
