Georgetown 88, Illinois 80 POSTGAME

they had any layup they wanted, no change at all on defense, no adjustments. Did they end up shooting 65%? Wouldn’t be surprised.

Of course youd like to come away with a win but wow that was an exciting game all around. Entertainment factor of a 10. The last minute was frustrating, but oh well. This season should be a good one, I think we already look like a pretty good team!

What did AJ do this game? Did he even score?
1 pt, 0-4 overall, 0-3 from 3pt... so basically nothing.

There aren't many good options at the 4. Hopefully Tevian, eventually, but I think he's still too green. Need AJ or Kipper to step up big time for any sustained success against average/good teams.

Kipper was the difference tonight. :(
Sure hope he figures out what is wrong with himself. For sure something mental going on.
He literally didn’t want to shoot.

I just wish we would go up and dunk, not continuously layup and get blocked. Dunks at SFC are a rarity, for the O&B, but always blow the roof off.

Also, that 8 point Kipper brain fart swing hurt.

Agree Kippers lack of hustle created a huge momentum swing for Georgetown no excuse for it seen it before from him unfortunately as an upperclassmen and supposed team leader needs to play hard all the time

Can someone please explain our defensive strategy? It appears to be, collapse to the ball when it enters the paint and leave your man open for the dunk. Over and over again.

Two games, and this team has proven to not be able to defend in either one. Until this changes, they'll continue to struggle to be consistently good.

Sucks to lose and I hate moral victories, but I haven’t had that much fun watching Illini basketball in a LONG time.

This team can really get out and run. Love the hustle by the young guys.

Ayo is a stud and Giorgi really looks good. Kipper will likely be frustrating most of the year.
