I am assuming you have never been to Maui? The games are just a bonus. They should offer a refund to every single fan that spent thousands to go to these games. Absolute embarrassment.
There was not much to say about the actual game. I watched the whole thing. Bad basketball. Our team is bad, but the announcer is/was BRUTAL. Had next to nothing to say about the actual game on the floor. Was in his own world 95% of the time.
I agree on Giorgi. He needs to be more active. Seems like he is overly sensitive about not fouling and gives up position for rebounds. We were outrebounded 37 to 25 and gave up 57% FG. We didn't look hungry and didnt finish tournament well.
The first two would not come to IL.
BU got a raise that he probably would not get had he not come here.
??????
Clearly the natives are getting restless, but there remain some supporters here. To you I ask: What are the most compelling arguments you can make that would lead the natives to believe that BU is turning the program around? Not what could be based on ifs and buts, things that actually exist now.
I switched over to Bradley game - they beat penn state and won their tourney - and missed us playing zone defense. Sounds like it didn’t work any better.
I believe that the talent level and potential on the roster has definitely increased compared to last year. Underwood had his guys playing hard against Gonzaga and Georgetown (not as evident the last 2 Maui games). Transition, fast-paced basketball was fun to watch against Georgetown and Gonzaga. The Gonzaga game was a dog fight and they are probably the new #1 in the country... no chance we even give them a game with last year’s roster.
No coach is going to win with the front court we are putting out there. We are going to get absolutely crushed inside this year. We just don’t have the horses. Giorgi is promising but very raw. De la Rosa should not even be playing due to injury. Kane is evidently not playing... Kipper is not a 4. Tevian is also not a 4. Aaron Jordan is not a 4.
The buck stops with Underwood completing the roster but the roster is not even close. Hopefully more experience plus adding January will put us in a better place next year. Even then, our bigs will need another year.

Don’t look at the remaining schedule right now - unless you’re really drunk.
I mentioned straining to see 16 wins in another thread today. Boy, was that a heady time.
