Last year we were in almost every game we lost. This year so far feels much, much different. It's early and struggles are not a complete surprise, but no one expect us to play this poorly. No one.

I expect a similar game to today's on Wed.

Ohio Stste is going to destroy us before several hundred people at the UC Wednesday.

Good thing we signed up for this Chicago gimmick rather than sticking to a true home game.

That game will be a true demonstration of how pathetic we've become. A "home" game in Chicago, in which nobody attends. Way to showcase the program, Josh.

Oh good- a chance to see a school that figured out how to recover quickly from some disappointing years.

2nd year in a row tOSU have been forecasted to have a rough season. Didn't happen last year, they're a top 20 team in the country this year, and with that class they have coming in they won't be going anywhere.

Yeah, it’s too bad we didn’t get Holtman. He’s the goods.

I don't think the venue has an impact on the outcome of this game

The venue in college basketball can definitely influence the outcome of a game. Why Whitman would have this team give up home court advantage for his pie in the sky hopes of becoming Chicago's team i don't know. Playing before these small crowds is an embarrassment to the program and does absolutely nothing for recruiting.

I still - STILL - can’t believe how far this program has fallen, but getting pasted by OSU in front of a handful of people at the UC on a Wednesday night will really help drive it home.

Imagine telling today’s students that we used to play marquee weekend games against top-five opponents there. And win.

I gotta wonder if the players have a clue as to what is going on. Frazier, says he thinks ILL is one of the best offensive teams in the country after beating Valley State and Kipper says after NEB game that team is close to being a great ball club.

Yep.

This was stupid the moment it was announced. Why voluntarily give away a home game at a crucial point early in the season when this team needs confidence? We all knew that this team was going to face a really tough OOC stretch. And here we are, going on the road for the sake of marketing the "brand".

Good thinking, Josh. We'll see how that works out for you.
