Not liking our chances (surprise, surprise), but I think we'll just fall short of keeping it under a double digit loss -- 70-60.

In all honesty, I’m trying to think of an Illinois sporting event I’ve looked forward to less.

Getting woodsheded on our home court by a roster full of ABI guys. Yeesh.

i am hoping we get early season TF hair and not recent TF hair - I truly believe its the hair. Kipper also needs to go back to last year's late season look.

These things are always much easier than they seem.

Michigan's gonna spread the floor, pick and roll a lot and play very good man 2 man defense {they are hard to turn the corner on}

The only way we have a chance it to shoot 50% from 3 and stay out of foul trouble. That seems unlikely, but even bad teams get hot once in a while. More likely, it’s our worst loss of the season.

We are going to shoot 13% plus higher than our current season average against one of the best teams in the country. I would definitely put my money where my mouse was if I would get that number. We only have one player with a 3pt shooting percentage over 40 (Jordon) and coming off a game where we did not make a three..

AG seems to have a knack for being in the right place for the rebound. Is that because he is in the wrong place defensively, or does he just know where the ball is gonna go?

He is just extremely long and a skilled rebounder...but his on ball defense is not great right now.

Kofi will certainly make an impact but probably won't see more than 20-25 mpg from him and thinking the difference will come from a freshman wing is not realistic. There has to be significant improvement from the existing players and coaching. When a walk on gets more time than a four star, there is a problem that won't be solved by an incoming freshman.

If this team was 3-4 years into this scheme with 4-5 upperclassmen I would agree with your analysis. This "walk on" has probably been learning this system his whole life. Can we please get over the fact that his son may know where to go on offense and defense than someone that has only been learning it for 5-6 months. You guys just cant help but blow this out of proportion because there isn't anything to complain about on the recruiting front at the moment.

It also seems like a lot of Tyler's minutes are at the end of the first half, when the rest of the guards are starting to get into foul trouble and he needs a body out there that knows what to do and play a little defense.

BU says this about DaMonte. He tracks the ball very well and then he goes and gets it. Rebounding is a “want to” stat. If you want to rebound you will. AG crashes the boards. DaMonte and AG (once he gets his defense sured up) are both going to get quality minutes while at IL. They do all the little things you need role players to do. If AG can be a lights out 3pt shooter that is a huge plus.

Excited for game tomorrow night. Michigan is the real deal. Not expecting to win, but to play well, keep it close, and play within 10pts would be a sign of a team starting to come together.

I think the main problem that people have is that this team isn't going anywhere regardless, so why not get experience for the younger, more naturally gifted players who might contribute in the future. Do you think TU is going to get playing time next season? If so, then the minutes this year shouldn't be an issue, but if he's not going to get PT next year, then what's the point of playing him instead of AG and TJ? I'm not as offended by it as some people, but I can kind of see their point.
