This will be our 7th straight game against a NCAA Tourney team and we are 3-3 already. We shouldn’t be afraid of anything at this point in the season. Get it done boys!

I would like to stay away from the 7-10 seeds, assuming Michigan St and Michigan are 1-2. There is a pretty substantial drop off after those 2 teams IMO. I would feel much better playing Purdue, Wisconsin, Maryland, etc. And hopefully someone else can mess around and knock off the Michigan's.

11-14 means playing one extra day. And, God forbid the first game goes into OT.

So, 6th place is the only sane possibility. Would love to be 4th, but, ...........

So, 7-10 is better than 11-14. And, heck, no fear.

Key: all 9 and possibly 10 play into the rotation, without any drop off.

Two equally tenacious teams? Yikes.

MSU will be our first test case.

If we beat MSU, we greatly improve Purdue's chances of being in the top two. Would you rather play them in the Friday BTT game?

Sixth place is the dream scenario. All we need is for both Iowa and Minnesota to crater badly. Iowa usually waits until it is in the tournament before falling apart.

The way it looks now, Purdue will probably win the season championship!

Looks like they only play 7 for any significant minutes. Need to run them until they are too tired to shoot.

Strongly debating making the 3 hour drive down... There’s just this strange feeling about this team.... Place is gonna be electric... on national television... let’s go.

Electric packed house. All orange. National TV.

Trent finally hits that game winner. Storm the court. The boys reel off 6/8 wins to end the year.

7 seed in conference tourney. Anything can happen.

OK, what other patsy is gonna dare invade State Hall Farm Assembly Center? The Spartans? So be it. Beat 'em! Get ready for the BIG tourney, ILLINI, I say again.

It will always be the Assembly Hall to me. It was brand new when I started at Illinois in 1966, so I've known it as such, well, a long time. Chancellor Wise said we always wanted a name for the building. Wrong, lady. It had a perfectly good name. It says so on my graduation program.

So a compromise. Name the overall facility the State Farm Center and let the building be the Assembly Hall, so it's the Assembly Hall at State Farm Center. Works for me. (The bright side is that they'll never rename Memorial Stadium).

But yes, fill it with Orange for national TV, blow the top off the place, and send the Spoortans home with an L. This team doesn't have to be afraid of anyone, even a fired-up Michigan State.

We will not win this game but I want to see the continuous growth and want to see us play well.

Just hoping for a good game. Should be a good crowd due to good weather and its a 6pm game that students are in town for! A win here would go a long way to getting fans to come back.

They generally play 8. Last week they found out Langford is out for the year. That's why they basically only played 7 against Indiana. I would expect them to start increasing the minutes of Brown and/or Loyer against us. I can't imagine they want to try to get through the tournaments with only 7.
