It's time to believe.

#WeWillWin

It's Trent's turn. 20+ pts and hits the game winner for B1G POW honors.

Here's a secret for the doubters......we are a top 5 caliber team in the conference now and until the end of the season. No one wants to play us.

If they win at Wisconsin I’m going to start buying into this. I’m sipping the juice, I’m not chugging it....yet.
We'll have to play a TON better than that at Wisconsin. Basically - if the refs call a tight game - we struggle... And of course we can't do that at the line again.

I know 6-0 would be the dream scenario. However, finish 4-2, 14-17, 10-10 in the conference and I would have to think we've gotta get in the NIT discussion with our wins in conference and how we're playing down the stretch, not to mention any additional wins we could add in the BIG tourney.

We always seem to play like crap against Wisconsin, especially on their court. I'm not optimistic at all about this one, but if we do happen to win, the door will be open for one of the biggest turnaround seasons ever.

Hopefully we got all the crap out of us tonight...

Agreed, will need to make FT’s and be hot from beyond the arc. There’s a reason their streak against us is at 14. We can win, but a lot will have to go right.

We are already in the NIT discussion, IMO. I'd be surprised if we didn't make it.

I'm not sure there's juice to be had. I mean, we're super young, we're fun to watch, we play super hard, the kids don't quit (remember some teams not that long ago just giving up?), they've really improved over the year, and a lot of kids are returning next year. I don't think that's orange kool aid. I can honestly say that with 2:00 minutes to go, win or lose, I'm happy for this team. They play hard and that's all your can ask. The coaches are doing their job, the kids are working, and it's just easy to get behind these kids. They've got such great personalities. The culture has changed. These kids are competitors.

Not predicting, but beat Wisconsin on the road and see what the conversation becomes.

We completely dominated them in Champaign. Happ was terrible, we forced turnovers, we forced them to commit silly fouls, we got great shots....but we just couldn’t get the ball in the basket.

This one should be intense. Sets up for 2 teams looking for revenge even though Wisconsin won the first one. They have 5 days to prepare so I would be shocked if they didn’t have a good game plan ready. But maybe we are still in their heads from the first game.

I HATE that Wisconsin has 6 days to prep for us. They’re also coming off a tough home loss to Sparty which was critical for the top of the B1G standings. I’m absolutely loving the way this team is coming together but I just don’t feel too good about this one. If we win we’re gonna start to really attract national headlines.

win this one and i’ll start thinking ncaa tourney. either way i love this team so much. playing with house money at this point right? go illini.

A very unlikely hypothetical that they win out, but they do I think they’re in. I think this Wisconsin game, in Madison, is the toughest game remaining. So, crazy to say it, but I agree with you.

Looking at the NET ratings. Florida at 12-11 was 42 with no victories against ranked teams and only 2 road victories. If illini win out I don’t think its far-fetched to see them end with a NET in 30s or 40s, coupled with a 12-8 conf record, and winning 14 of 15. I think they’re in easily at that point.

So, yeah, beat Wisconsin and it may even be possible with a loss at Purdue. Crazy.

The Illini are the hottest team in the B1G right now....Gaining our first true road win @ osu will give the Illini a big shot of confidence going into the next game against the bucky badgers....

We have to contain happ like we did the first game and hit the shots we missed before....i see a true renaissance in the Illini program and a continuation of the winning streak...there is a reason peeps are saying we are a team no one wants to play....We are a damn good BB team and play like lions....
