And at Michigan (2010) and Indiana (2011). In terms of experience, Frey definitely has the edge over Justice. I would be happy with either one, but much happier with Frey due to years of Big Ten experience.

Frey has a better resume but, the last couple of years at FSU were not good for the OL. He's from Clearwater, FL so, he should have ties to the Tampa Bay area/Florida. Hoping RS and LS make a wise choice.

Frey (50) worked at FSU for just one year, but the Seminoles' offensive line didn't show improvement during his tenure.

The unit was plagued with injuries and an overall lack of talent, which led to FSU fielding one of the worst offensive lines in college football.

FSU started nine different offensive line combinations in 12 games with the Seminoles finishing 5-7 and missed the programs first bowl game since 1981.

Only center Alec Eberle started every game for the Seminoles. Right guard Mike Arnold started 11 games.

FSU lost its best offensive lineman Landon Dickerson in the first game of the season due to an ankle injury. He returned to start left tackle against Louisville after starting at right tackle against Virginia Tech. He did not play the rest of the season due to a separate ankle injury.

The Seminoles second best offensive lineman, guard Cole Minshew, missed the first two games of the 2018 season and then the final three games while he dealt with a neck injury. He started at both left guard and right guard.

Derrick Kelly, who started at left tackle, right tackle, and left guard during the season, missed three games with a knee injury.

Due to the inconsistency on the offensive line, and the sub-par play of the backups, the Seminoles were unable to run the football or pass protect.

FSU to hire Randy Clements. Seems Appropriate since the Briles hire. Clement's has worked with new FSU offensive coordinator Kendal Briles for almost a decade between their time at Baylor and Houston.

Frey returns to Ann Arbor after spending six years at Indiana University (2011-16). A 2015 Broyles Award nominee, Frey mentored the offensive line during his time in Bloomington. He added the role of assistant head coach in 2016 after serving as co-offensive coordinator (2014-15) and run game coordinator (2012-13) with the Hoosiers.

Frey developed the Hoosiers' offensive line into the most efficient in school history. Two-time All-America right guard Dan Feeney and left tackle Jason Spriggs, who was the Hoosiers' first Outland Trophy semifinalist, became the fifth and sixth offensive lineman in school history to earn first-team All-America honors. Spriggs was a second-round pick of the Green Bay Packers in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Frey has coached more than 20 student-athletes that have reached the NFL through the draft or free agency, including five players at Indiana. In addition, Frey has mentored 20 all-conference honorees in his career.

During his first stint at Michigan, Frey helped build an offensive line that paved the way for a school-record and Big Ten-leading 6,353 offensive yards in 2010. The Wolverines had a balanced offense in 2010, gaining 250.2 passing yards per game and 238.5 rushing yards per contest.

Frey coached All-Big Ten and NFL players David Molk, Patrick Omameh, Taylor Lewan, Stephen Schilling and Michael Schofield at Michigan. Lewan was named the Big Ten's Offensive Lineman of the Year and was selected by the Tennessee Titans with the 11th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. In addition, Molk won the Rimington Trophy as the nation's most outstanding center.

Frey spent the 2007 season mentoring the offensive line at West Virginia. While in Morgantown, he coached an offensive line led by Walter Camp All-American Ryan Stanchek and All-Big East first team performer Greg Isdaner.

Bellamy is a solid hire who I think could really grow under Rod Smith. If the pick is Garin Justice, I will be happy as he has had a very good start to his young career. If it's Frey, that is pretty much a home run with his success, experience and he has been an effective recruiter.

If it is Rod's pick, I am good with whoever.

There's always desperation, but I like your more optimistic take on it. I love seeing Bellamy back. I hope we make it right with him. He could provide some stability in the years to come.

When can I stop holding my breath waiting for the OL and RB coaching staff hires? Spring practice is upon us sooner than we think. Oh, and we lost the strength coach as well.
