So, down to Dre, Ayo, and Alan in the backcourt?

Aaron, Da'Monte, Aaron, and Da'Monte? Replace self. Oh, forgot, Tyler?

Well in light of recent developments, I just hope the bench gets some quality minutes and gains confidence going into the b10 tourney. If we have any chance to make a good run, we will need a lot of bodies ready to contribute.

Sounds like Trent will be okay to go. Tevian and Kipper are both up in the air though...

Aaron Jordan show, tomorrow night!

This would be really, really nice, but I got to believe Painter will take care of our AJ.
I will say, though that I think our Mr. Kane just might have something to say about their Mr. Haaaaaaaaarms guy in the middle.

No way they would put him out there for a preview like that and then suspend him.

I certainly hope he plays ... I am fairly proud that we are on the "stricter" side of disciplining our athletes when necessary (as an athletics program as a whole), but for once I would like us to balance "discipline" and "common sense" a little closer to what is in our best interest, haha. I have ZERO idea what happened, so nobody should take this as me giving advice to the staff, but if this is like them being caught underage drinking inside a college house/apartment ... gimme a break. Don't start the guys and leave it at that.

I hope whatever happens that the penalties are enforced evenly. If three were involved, then they all need to serve the same penalty.

Because, and let’s be honest here, our chances to win at Mackey with or without Trent are next to zero.

It’s disappointing to say the least. I realize college students are going to college student, but dang save it for the offseason.

This is just not even close to reality. Have you not been watching B1G basketball this year?

While I understand your hesitancy, I agree with Skyldub about BIG play. We could just as likely win by 5 to 10 as lose by 15 to 20.

I had a dream last night that we were getting monkey stomped by some other team (not sure if it was Purdue or not haha). It got to the point where the other team didn’t even run down to play defense and we still missed 2 threes and a wide open layup.

Eventually the one girl playing on the other team came and got the ball since we kept missing. Everyone in the crowd was laughing at us.

Go Illini.

:suspicious:

I'm sure Trent will be in the lineup.

Also, this is funny, nowhere else to post. Meyers Leonard and teammates stuck in an elevator for 30 minutes. lol

Being stuck in an elevator with a basketball team sounds very unpleasant. No way to get comfortable.
I got stuck for 3 hours last year in my building's with just my dog. I laid down and took a nap. My dog was very patient, but wasted no time in getting outside when we were freed.

Yes. It’s unpredictable to be sure. Totally agree there.

We’d have to play out of minds to win at Mackey. I felt similar, though more hopeful, at Kohl. For my money, Mackey is the best home court environment in the B1G and it’s really hard to win there. We struggled there even when we were good.

My .02 is that they’ll exploit the over-pressure with quick passes and Edwards driving the ball. That kid is really tough to guard. It also feels like a game where he snaps out of his shooting funk by getting some easy buckets or wide open threes.

Hope you are right and I am wrong. I’d love to come out of tonight with a win.

I agree that Edwards will probably get to the hoop a few times and as long as he sees a few layups go in I bet he gets going from 3.

Wondering where this rumor that there were some type of violations came from?

How about the notion that this was planted as a fiendishly clever ruse directed toward the Boilermakers? Yeah, that's the ticket. Then we unleash Kipper on them.

College basketball is a business....there is no off season it's kind of like being a State Farm Agent...( I am not one)!

Evenly does not mean he same penalty. For instance, Jones has already been suspended, so why would he get the same penalty as those that haven't been suspended, assuming there is any truth to these rumors?

Today has been so !!!!!! I forgot we are playing tonight. That never happens. Suddenly something to look forward to.

Where are you guys hearing players are getting suspended? Where is this coming from?
