Watch this video and get to know Kofi better. You'll like it.

From the discussion about his trouble with conditioning when he arrived at Oak Hill, I see an triangular bonding with Kofi, BU and Fletch. But he seems like a really quality kid. Maybe could use some dance lessons though. Seems to me we could save a scholarship if UI would just hire Giorgi as an instructor in dance. Could give him tuition as an employee.

For those that are hoping Calipari ends up in LA, if Walton was fired, freeing up K.Whitney to come to the beloved.

I do not believe Calipari would go there, even if offered. His huge advantage in the NCAA arena is that he can buy superior talent. The NCAA would never harm their love-child. So, he’s able to buy the best players.

I do not think he has the coaching chops to win on an even playing field. Plus, since there are no penalties (of consequence) handed down to the favorites, he has no incentive to leave.

Is Brown visiting for the IU game? If so, it's a very closely held secret. Mid-week game, it's going to be tough for him to visit.

Calipari is 60. His window to "correct" the view that he isn't an NBA caliber coach is closing. This would be his last best chance to correct that view. Especially if he has LeBron and can help pull in Anthony Davis. Lakers will offer crazy money and oh by the way if it doesn't work out NCAA teams will be knocking down his door to hire him even at age 65. He'd be able to resume current shenanigans back in the NCAA with more money in his personal bank account.

Especially if you look at where Mouth of the Wilson, VA is located. 2 1/2 hours to any real airport. Is kinda (kinda?) on a line between Jacksonville, FL and Willard. Mr. Khan planning a trip?

Been to Oak Hill, it's crazy rural. I think Jefferson was the closest anything, and that means a Wal Mart and a Burger King. Definitely the land of the front yard junkyard.

May not be the NCAA that he would be most concerned about....more like FBI

I'd almost be willing to bet that most of the head coaches in the business will be insulated from criminal charges, even if their assistants get charged or convicted. It seems like it would be fairly easy to make sure they aren't actually provably culpable in a situation like this. That wouldn't necessarily insulate them from NCAA sanctions, but criminal culpability is a much higher bar to clear.

That having been said, I don't think the NCAA will do much, either, because... well... NCAA. I think the bigger threat to Cal will be simply that the cat's out of the bag at this point, and if he senses that he can't operated as he (probably) has, then it may be time to move to a league where you are not only allowed, but expected to buy the best talent available.

Anybody else on here go to the Belleville West Alton sectional game tonight? I was really bummed out about
EJ choosing Ohio State, but after watching tonight I don't feel that bad about it. I hadn't watched him in person since his sophomore year and outside of having a little more upper body strength I can't say that I think he's improved or changed one bit. When I saw him as a sophomore I was blown away I envisioned him getting better as he got older. I know he sprained his ankle against Chaminade a couple weeks ago and he hurt it again towards the end of the first half, but watching him in the pregame warmups he looked fine. Watching him tonight he kind of reminded me of a less athletic Jerome Richmond only he's smart. You can tell when you watch him. One of the Alton players tried to get him riled up towards the end of the game tonight and he just blew him off a lot of kids wouldn't have been that smart. I still would like to have gotten him but not as much as before.

Yeah he only messed around and missed a triple double by 1 rebound. Blocking 10 shots.
