There's nothing in my post about "practice procuction" vs. "game production". What is "practice production"? Read the sentence you quoted in my post again.

DW's play has been beaten to death. I'll let BU explain it to you in his multiple quotes about DW's game. I trust BU's 20+ years in coaching to determine who should be on the court.

So you trust BU........Has he earned your trust from game or practice results ? B/C the game results leave a lot to be desired.....Being the first coach to have a 20 loss season for the Illini ? Wonder if you would trust JG or BW if they had been the first coach to have a 20 loss season.....

BU has NOT earned my trust no matter how long he has coached and where he has coached at....2 sub .500 seasons...no tourney appearances
long time assistant coach(sound familiar ? )

Mid major success ( sound familiar ? )
stubborn to change scheme's
strange substitution patterns\

etc...etc....

We will have to agree to disagree....jury is still out on BU and his ability to turn this team around

Boy, you are really stretching to create new straw man arguments. My quote directly says "I trust BU's 20+ years in coaching to determine who should be on the court."
I thought that was the discussion....who should be getting minutes over the other?

Now you mention "practice results".....wth are these and how could any of us know what they are? Practice production, now practice results. I can't possibly know how we could determine what goes on in practice other than to trust the coaching staff and the players.

As I mentioned in another post....be as negative as you want...we are 7-6 in our last 13 B1G games. Giorgi was sick in the last 4, Ayo has trailed off in the last 5, and Trent may have been a little injured in the last 3.

Lastly, of course the jury is still out on BU and his ability to turn this team around....because it's still a work in progress. Progress. It's clearly being made.

This logic has been refuted here before. We aren't talking about 5 star, no question should be on the court talent...like Ayo. You can't stick freshman you think might be more talented on the court with more minutes if they aren't earning it by showing the talent in practice.

Again, BU has answered the questions about DW more than enough times to satisfy his minutes. He does things and brings things to the lineup that the others don't. The stats you crave aren't the only part of the game that is closely tracked by coaches.

What are those things he does that others dont ?
Honest question....and how can you say that with disparaging ratio of minutes played by DW, TJ and AG....I just don't see where you are coming from especially considering DW has 2 seasons under BU coaching...
I'm not creating straw man arguments.... I expressing my opinion on why there wasn't an attempt to replace a STRUGGLING player with someone else who hasn't had the consistent chance to show what they can do that DW doesn't do...

First off, Im not being negative to ask why a 2 year veteran is starting and averaging 3 ppg and 2 rpg ahead of others that do things on the court that he DOESN'T do , like scoring and rebounding better than him....His D is lacking , but AG and TJ aren't any better than him in limited minutes....

Again, I really want DW to succeed and play like many have said he is capable of playing..

I think you are getting upset with honest questions and humble opinions that I have so I will defer to your complete trust in the coach , but still voice my opinions as I feel are warranted...

carry on

Lol...i'm not even remotely upset! Just trying to get you to see the difficulty with your logic. You are basing this on the potential possibility that they bring more to the game than DW. Clearly BU and staff know more as they are experienced and they see everything, every day, at every practice.
At least you are back to your original argument! Again, BU has answered your questions about DW...not sure why you want me to?
