Don't ask me why I was on that abomination called Tigerboard but I did find this gem from today.

http://tigerboard.com/boards/view.php?message=16177295

If we only win one game a season I want it to be that game.

Speaking of, I was looking at stats the other day and Giorgi had a better year than Tillmon. About 12.5 ppg for Giorgi vs 10 for Tillmon. Giorgi with about 5 rebounds a game, Tillmon just under 6. Not bad for a freshman no name vs. a soph 4/5 Star.

And I think it goes to show that white knight recruits which will instantly turn around a program (which is what we thought Jeremiah would be), are exceedingly rare, if they exist at all.

Four-star Patterson may reclassify to 2019, discusses leaders

One of the class of 2020's top wing players,
Addison Patterson

has adjusted to a new situation and has schools prioritizing him as he prepares to decide not only a school but whether or not to remain in 2020 or enroll as a 2019 prospect.

Illinois: "I just like how real (Brad Underwood) is with me. He's saying that he needs me to come in and make an impact and that they really need me and that they really want me to come there. I could play right away and I'd maybe like to accept that role."

I really like our chances of landing Patterson and him being here next year.

If there is one thing we need, it's a long, athletic wing

I guess I just don't see a 4 star recruit playing over a 4 star with a year of experience. Grass is greener syndrome?

Depends on who that 4* recruit is....there are several of them in the Juco ranks as well as HS that would be better right off the bat. That is of no offense towards our current guys, but there is some athleticism out there to be had.

If Giorgi has taught us nothing else (salsa, laughing, fun, footwork....) it should be that stars should be looked at with a little side eye.

Thank God Kofi is clearly one of the true white knight recruits.

Guessing that Brown likes to be "thought about a lot"[for those of you who haven't followed the board going back to when Crean was at Indiana, you'll be lost on the Crean reference], but truly sounds more like a geography pick. Sorry would have liked to have gotten him.

Someone tell Kramer.

Yea, from the article this is what Groce was doing with the ESL players too, building relationships at young ages. Hopefully this coaching staff will be there real soon also !!
