Great trade and money well spent for the extension.
Don’t you think you’re getting carried away?
He’s in line to hit about 240HRs and drive in over 400!
Garbage call by mgr to intentionally walk in 9th.
What a rough opening stretch. Yelich beat us up. It’s hard to judge at this point but it looks like we will be looking up at the brewers for a long while
Was really hoping for a split out of those first four. Got to attend the lone win on Friday night so that was good but, a couple of other games were in our grasp. Just couldn’t hold on.Facing them 10 times before the end of April will tell us a lot about where this team stands early on.

I know this seems to be the way game is going but, how many runs did we score that weren’t on home runs? I believe there were a couple Friday night. Would really like to see us string more hits together to generate some offense and not have to rely on the home run so much.

When can we move on from Fowler?
100 PAs from now, probably. He hasn't looked completely lost like last year, getting on base and taking good at bats, but it's only been a few games and even his ceiling is probably not as good as Jose Martinez or O'Neil full time.
I was thinking it would take at least until middle-end May. After so few games his OBA is a respectable .417 which is 3rd on the team for players who have 5 or more plate appearances. So he's at least seeing the ball better than last year. His avg is still terrible by anyone's standards even Mendoza's.
I was thinking end of April, early May, so essentially the same. I think the standings may have something to do with it. If the team is hanging around with a winning record, close to the top of the division, they can have more patience. IF he is playing good defense and keeps his OBP high, he is an asset. If not, O'Neil and Martinez get a lot more opportunity.I was thinking it would take at least until middle-end May. I’m really proud of our guys keeping their cool. DeJong’s homer was nice but I really loved the lead off walk plus Bader homer
Yeah. Two tough wins in Pittsburgh. Hoping for a great seven game home stand against the Padres and Dodgers before heading to Monterrey, Mexico vs. Cincinnati and then back to Milwaukee.
Alex Reyes and Yairo Munoz optioned to Memphis. Giovany Gallegos and Tyler Webb called up in the first shake-up of the bullpen this season.
3 dodgers have been hit by pitch tonight. Not 1 of them made any effort to get out of the way. 2 of them were grazed on their elbow pad. Thought rule was they had to make an attempt to get out of the way?
I was listening to a colorado broadcast last year and they were even commenting how Rizzo seems to crowd the plate. The color guy jokingly said they should give an award to the guy who takes the most pitches...then he said that Rizzo would win it every year. He is notorious all over the league for this. That is the rule but refs never call it unless the batter is leaning into the ball when it's over the plate. I absolutely hate the rule. Anyone wearing armor should be exempt for the HBP rule. Rizzo is always among the league leaders in HBP. At least he doesn't wear all the extra guards when he leans in to the pitch. He does crowd the plate.
