Outside of the blue bloods any team in the country would want a body like Kofi to bang inside, how nice would it be to have him for 4 years with him continuing to get better

Kansas did offer, so there was at least one that wanted him...

Kofi is a much better rebounder than Tilmon. For once in this boards history i think we are underrating one of our recruits.
We could really use a great year from Kofi, if he out rebounds Tilmon or not I don’t think will be the deciding factor. To me what will matter is how ready he is to play effective defense to stay out of foul trouble and stay on the floor. I think he will be very good player, but for next year I still expect him to struggle to stay on the floor. My main point however is that our hole at 4/5 was bigger than any one player, if we had 3 Giorgi’s last year we would have found 25 minutes for all of them.

To
Cassius manages to push off 20 times s game and never get called for it
And Edwards looks like a running back straight arming people on his drives but...if its not called more power to him. The display he put on in Louisville was one of the better in tourney history.

Who ended up winning the game?
La Lumiere (sp?) - not Kofi's team although down 1, they had several chances to take the lead in the last 20ish seconds. One of those was a tough pass from Anthony that Kofi did not expect and threw off his lay up attempt which was missed.

Tre Mitchell commits to UMass. I believe he had an OV set up initially back in, I want to say December?, along with Jitoboh but neither materialized. I think Mitchell was someone many had hoped would come to Illinois. Reported that he was waiting until spring to sign, which apparently was true. He had 3 CBs to Notre Dame . Rivals had him having “high” interest in ND, UConn and Illinois. And he goes to UMass.

My goodness, we land a stud big man and some on this board still can't figure out how to be happy. I dont know what Kofi will look like or play like in an Illinois uniform, all I know is I am really looking forward to seeing it. Lighten up folks help is on the way.
It has become evident, that constipation has become America's no. 1 health problem. We know who they are.

Teams are going to have to single Giorgi, or it's dunk city for Kofi when they leave him to double team... That's my dream, anyway.

But if Kofi is unable to shoot from any distance, his man will still be in the paint, and effectively be double-teaming Giorgi. I trust that Giorgi is a good enough passer that he can make the interior passes if/when Kofi's man slides over, but that takes some chemistry and anticipation by both players. Hopefully that develops.

Giorgi has a great work ethic and I suspect our #1 priority for him this offseason will be for him to develop a 15 foot jump shot. Last year we needed him to be the low-post offensive presence. With Kofi/Samba/January, that will no longer be a desperate need.

Needs to be more versatile in the pinch post.
90% of the time he hands the ball off when someone wraps around, and teams were scouting that out very easily. The handoff got picked off a few times too.

Not sure we are underrating him based on Kofi's latest RSCI.

So just looking at big men, Kofi is our best recruit since Brian Cook.

Deleting all the 05 and earlier guys, and like, man, the idea that we haven't had the horses, it boggles the mind.
