howard highlights
Gotta say I think this is the first time I've seen a FT as part of a highlight reel. Color me 'meh' on this.

That being said, I'd feel much better if he did all of this around and through some chairs.

When will our expectations be more than making the tourny, but to make deep runs in the tourny? We've got too much talent in close proximity to not consistently have those expectations. Just have to find a way to land them.

The gap from where we are to making the tournament is pretty large. The gap from there to being a team that can make some noise once we're in the tournament is comparably small.

And to kind of expand on that, I think coaching ability to exploit match ups and game plan for different situations effectively and being able to react to situations is the lions share of that difference, as opposed to the roster per se.

I'm confident that *if* BU can put a good team on the floor, he'll be able to put a great one on the floor. Step 1 is the bigger question than Step 2, IMO.

How did we make 60 some offers and miss this guy? I guess he didn't fit the system.

Well he was committed to Michigan, so presumably we didn't offer him. He's also from Texas, so, while we have offered plenty of Texans, he isn't quite as visible as someone playing closer to home.

Brian Snow (the CB assigner) is very accurate WRT CBs (~95%). Given that the CB accuracy metric is not exactly (lol) statistical, far too early to deem him in the bag. It's early (in the 2020 derby) and Snow's most likely making an educated guess. But that Kalkbrenner, a St. Louis kid, is playing with the MIF, is a good sign. He's played pretty well too.

He was a top 50, but I think Kansas is probably the most likely. My comment very much sarcastic, how many of the 20-100 ranked player did we miss in making 60 offers?
