Well this D3 guy picked us over ND unlike with Groce when ND got em. There are good players everywhere. Michigan took a D3 guy and the Chicago Bulls took a D2 guy 5th overall.

Disappointing on Burnett, no Illinois!! Louisville, Michigan, Alabama, Oregon and Texas Tech. Staff spent a lot of time on this one.

Livingston did us a favor listing Duke before heading to the NBA. 4 other teams not rhyming with Fichigan will be wasting more time.

Texas Tech didn't even make the original top 12 he put out.

I'm not surprised we're not in it, Prolific Prep can be hard to deal with...

Probably going to wind up being Howard's first big get at UM.

OK OK , so maybe no Burnett, but Miller is considered a "lock" for us...Trent/DaMonte/Griffin leading any combination of Curbelo/Watson/Alexander/or many others listed will still put us in a really good place moving forward. None of them will be 2-3 year and done types, so the stability will be good.

I wouldn't say Miller's a lock. Richie said 50-50 and only went to 70% on Miller after being pestered about it. I'll believe it when he signs.

No Miller would be a bummer considering I think this 2020 fall class will be committing largely based on faith still. Without Miller I'm guessing we're looking at signing 4-6 players this spring.

Ultimately, though, I think our future recruiting hinges on winning this year, and getting Ayo into the lottery. GB getting drafted would be even better for recruiting than getting Ayo drafted, IMO. Those things happen, and I think our spring signings will work out just fine.

GB is going to be here 4 years unless he chooses over seas. Ethan Happ wasnt drafted. GB is a long way from playing in today's NBA. That will be great for us as Illini fans. I like Henderson. I hope we land another big to go with our current guys

A lock huh? Right. If you've followed a program over the last 10 years, nothing is a lock for us until the ink has dried and even then it's not a lock.

Hell, we've only had one Fall signee in the last two(or three??) classes! I do like the glass half full sentiment however.

I'll believe it when I see him on campus, signed and with an Illinois uniform on. Until then....glass half empty. :)

Happ didn't get drafted in large part because of his free throw woes. He's an outlier in that way

There is more to that. Happ lacks any type of outside shot and NBA athleticism. The fakes and moves wouldn't work in the NBA.
I was just comparing GB to potentially being as good as Happ. I mean i realize he cant fake\, shoot, pass and get around people like Larry Bird could! Fakes work all the time in the NBA., Players pump fake and get fouled all the time. Happ may male the NBA and if he does he will get fouled when he fakes. Ge has played against future NBA guys and been fouled a often.

Glad GB should be here four years and i hope we add more bigs like him.

N faly Dante, five star center just reclassified & committed to Oregon. Francis okoro might not ever start for Oregon at this rate. Glad to say it doesn't matter now with Giorgi & Kofi.

I thought Illinois would at least make the top 5. Kid started out at Morgan Park spotting up hitting shots in the corner off of Charlie Moore's passes. Interesting developments lead to Adam Miller basically coming in & replacing Burnett at M.P. Miller is who I prefer anyways. Smooth lefty has added bounce. I saw him put up 30 in the first half at the Big Dipper as a Soph. Put on the full court press!
