UConn ran 3 man d-lines similiar to a prevent defense. They do that against Illinois abd our RBs run 7 yards before being touched.

UCONN gave up 4.9 yards per rush to Wagner. UCONN ran it 53 times with 2 backs (one had 36 carries). UCONN had 3.9 yards per rush. They passed 21 times for 158 yards and a pick. I... really can’t see this game being a problem, hopefully the staff can keep the kids focused.

Wonder if this hurricane might impact this game? Looks like it is projected to go right up the coast.

Defense steps up even more next week. Good guys win 49-3. Corbin with 3 TDs and sits again in the 2nd half. Would have had a 4th but he laterals to Kramer for a score.

Side note - I'd like to hear about those 3 big shooters who dropped $50k each on the Illini last week. Love it.

Pretty sure it was the same guy who split his bets over different sportsbooks

Right now it looks like a high of 75, with a 20% chance of rain. Obviously that could change depending where the hurricane goes.

Illini OC Rod Smith: Brandon peters really in control. Missed a couple throws in red zone, but I thought he did play well.

Rod Smith: Heart goes out to (Mike Epstein). He does everything right. He does everything you ask to him.

All I keep thinking about is Mikey Dudek, right? If anyone deserves to have success, it's Mike Epstein

Rod Smith: You say it with a heavy heart, it's next man up. They're still going to kick off on Saturday. I think Mike would want those guys to step up.

We have guys in my opinion can be starters on many teams in the Big Ten.

Rod Smith on balance with WRs: It gives me confidence that if we throw it to a certain area, it has a great chance to be caught.

Rod Smith: Peters had a clean pocket for the most part.

Rod Smith: Kendrick Green is physical, nasty, athletic. He's what you want in an offensive lineman. He pulled on one play and molly-whopped the lineman. Watched it on repeat.

Rod Smith: UConn runs a multiple scheme defense. Jump between 3- and 4-man DL. Well-coached. It's a different coordinator than last year, so last year's stats and film don't matter (when UConn had one of worst FBS defenses ever).

Rod Smith on Brandon Peters: "I told you he wasn't an oak tree!"

Rod Smith: We opened things up (in the playbook) Saturday. Not like we were hiding anything.

Both teams have a bye 11/16. I really want this game this weekend. Should know by Thursday, if Cane doesn't turn further east we will not play.

Thank you! My daughter has Hulu.
Ah... looks like you only get CBSSN with Hulu's Live TV option.
I'm not solid on this stuff. If someone knows how to get it please feel free to let me know.
Thanks anyway.

You can sign up for it yourself for one week for free (the Live TV). If you don't have a fire stick or some other device to play it on your TV, you could always stream it on your computer through their website or use their app (I've never done the app, though). Just a thought.

So to be clear, the only way to watch the game this Saturday is if you have CBSSN in your cable or satellite package - OR do something like the Hulu live tv free week trial?

I have PlayStation Vue. They are picking up the game, so this is an option too. Not sure if they offer a 1-week trial.

And I know someone was joking about it in another thread, but would we really be shocked if it was actually James Holzhauer? U of I grad, known for his risk-taking with his gambling in Vegas and on Jeopardy. Just saying....

It was a bettor known as “Duffel Bag Boy”. He bets big on a lot of big ten games. Had us last year in a parlay to win 100k when we beat Rutgers.

I live in Florida. The forecast/path/speed/etc of this storm has changed 1000 times in the past 4 days. Nobody has any clue what it will look like in 5 days. We are not even near the point of talking about cancellations
