For all the recruiting naysayers, the redundant BU doesn't talk to recruits, we don't/haven't gotten the ranked guys in the past, I would simply state our fortunes are definately turning I believe.

BU got Top 50 Ayo, then Top 50 Kofi, now is looking at a potential class of Top 50 Miller, Top 100 Ruzhentsev, Top 150 Hawkins in Class of 2020, then we are looking realistically at a class of 2021 of Top 150 Mclendon, (Champaign/Hawkins ties) and many other Top 25-100 types being here with likely up to 4 rides in that class and some success on court to build off of. I think we are definately trending in the right direction for recruits. We are getting there.

I don’t think I’m a naysayer, but until they sign I’m reluctant to call it a positive trend. The trend I do see is that we have done a good job of finding under the radar recruits when we’ve missed on our primary targets with the two obvious exceptions.

At the end of the day, I don't care how many stars they have or where they are from.....Will BU win with them? Winning is all that matters. Winning cures everything.

Seems like recruiting has shifted from focusing on top 50 players, and looking more to the 100-200 range. They haven't stopped trying to get those elite prospects, but they definitely seem to have moved to lower tiers faster this year. I for one, am not complaining.

Getting Ayo and Kofi is exciting and worth it, but wiffing on basically all your other top prospects is a) a bad look and b) (much more important) detrimental to so many aspects of recruiting.

Don't think either of our transfers will blow away everyone we face, but they should contribute, and should contribute more than late adds to fill seats do.

I would not count out a transfer at all. Feliz was a juco transfer and he is very good. We missed on a few transfers before and some were elite like Jordan Clarkson who people doubted because he was from Tulsa. I A tall , lanky guard with handles, that can shoot so while i may not expect that i would not be surprised either if one excelled especially by Hutch.

So is Tinley Park not bad at basketball anymore? They were in our conference as they used to be so trash.
Tinley Park is BAD! AJ is of course the star...but the other 4 are: #1-2 Dumb and Dumber and #3-4 Stepbrothers!! For the past 50 years it's never changed!! Most years the players don't know if a basketball is filled with air or rags!! I'm a BIG hs hoops fan...but in 50 years in the area I have never been to TP High School...for a reason! This year....I'll be at their FIRST GAME!

Sounds like the same tp. Why does that good kid go there? So many other south suburban schools with actual tradition. Hillcrest, Thornton, Bloom etc
His Mom lives in Tinley Park.

So, not sure where this type of information goes, here, the Scholarship Grid or the new OV Grid, but Dawson Garcia — a 6-foot-10 prospect from Minnesota — announced his final seven schools on Tuesday. The schools still under consideration are Arizona, Indiana, Kansas, Marquette, Memphis, Minnesota and North Carolina.

You are forgetting the Chris Dillard years. 87'-88'

That kid was incredible...

His warm up dunks were the stuff of legend.

Coleman Hawkins seems like the type of player that teams like Michigan have had an unlimited supply of coming through the ranks over the years. His length and mobility are what excites me the most. Throw in a good year of banging against our bigs would be great for his development while adding a different dynamic from what we have. Hope he commits on the 21st. I really like the versatility we are starting to see with how this team seems to be shaping up over the last few years.

It would be fantastic to see Coleman Hawkins (and Adam Miller) commit soon. I would be shocked if we don't land Miller (no insider by any means). With Ayo coming in and doing what he is doing, it has simply paved the way for Miller to come in and try the same with every opportunity (and I would argue better opportunity with more weapons already in the fold, both new and more developed than when Ayo came to campus). If things play out the way I think they will, we are certainly trending in an exciting direction for now with the future looking bright! We are close to the light at the end of the tunnel!
