I just have this weird premonition that we're gonna win this game. I'm gonna be stuck at a wedding reception during the game, I think that's part of it.

Hah. I'll be at a wedding rehearsal dinner. I think I'll go with the one, breathless check of the score at the end of the night rather than look every five minutes.I just have this weird premonition that we're gonna win this game. Haha me too, and me too! If you see someone glued to his phone, cursing profusely, and drinking away sorrows -- come say hi lol.I just have this weird premonition that we're gonna win this game. I'm gonna be stuck at a wedding reception during the game, I think that's part of it.

I'm doubting they could have found anyone halfway respectable to fill the defensive vacancies. And this is where Whitman has failed. Having a defensive staff like this after one of the worst defensive seasons in program history? Come on.

Are you saying you think this was a strategic move by Lovie? It's always surprising how well you can do with clearly lame duck assistant jobs. These guys are accustomed to living a life where they move around from year to year, a Big Ten name on the resume and a nice salary will attract perfectly cromulent coaches.
Not Ideal Cubit hired Tim McGarigle and Paul Williams, who are currently on the full-time staff at Northwestern and Houston, respectively. I think we can be very sure Miles Smith and Gill Byrd will not attract the same sort of interest if their jobs at Illinois are lost.

Referring to DC hahaWhat was, hiring his kid?
Strategy of a sort I guess, but not a strategy for Illinois to win football games.
They can be fun also.I just have this weird premonition that we're gonna win this game. I'm gonna be stuck at a wedding reception during the game, I think that's part of it.
I know it is true.I am immensely confident that is not true.

My friends, mostly math & engineering students, didn't follow Illini athletics.
I'm talking about 8 of 8 close friends.
There are nearly 60,000 students and university employees. One would think that selling them on spending eight Saturdays in Memorial Stadium should be easier than selling to those who need to drive a few hours to get there.Illinois needs strong support from the local community to be successful. Forget Chicagoland. Think local !
The key will be Eastern Michigan. That’s a sneaky tough game.
EMU beat Big Ten teams the last 2 years, and 4 points from knocking off Kentucky.
They’ve only lost by >7 twice in two years.
That game’s the pivot between a bowl and the season concluding 2 days after Thanksgiving.
EMU is the one I’m worried about. They lost 2 games by >3 points and 1 by >7. Beat Purdue. Year before they lost 1 by >7. Well coached team that plays everyone tough.
I could see a scenario where the team loses to EMU and then turns it around in B1G play to make a bowl a la Purdue last year.

Rumor has it the student section is sold out and overflow tickets are being sold in section 101. Probably helps they’re giving away free tickets, but whatever gets butts in seats is fine with me
I hope there is plenty of beer for the students to drink. And, the students drink plenty of beer.If that is the catalyst to a raucous environment that helps motivate the players, the payoff on those free tickets will be worth it.
