I believe you have to log in with your cable or satellite provider with that app. But let us know if you don't mind. I know we aren't the only two here looking to meld sports and Hallmark channel. New* Christmas movies start in October! And, yes, my wife and daughter start watching them then.

*New but the same story line.
I have YoutubeTV and then Philo for Hallmark Channel, A&E, and History Channel. Philo has some overlap but at only $20 per month I'm still saving getting both over what I was paying for cable.

Does the Fox Sports Go APP have recent games archived like the BTN2GO APP used to? I read that it does but I have been unable to find any on the website...but maybe I am not searching correctly?

Specifically, I would like to skip the live game feed for Sat (UI Vs MU) and watch it later at night like 11pm. Can this bee done on Fox Sport Go?

Another reason to use a month-to-month service. They can't hold you hostage if you pick a provider who isn't up for negotiations...

Question. Now that BTN+ goes through the FoxSports app will we still have to pay the monthly subscription for the first several games then cancel as most have done in the past.

Yes. The good news, if you can call it that, is that you only have to pay for one month of BTN+, instead of two as in recent years. The bad news is that there are something like five Illinois BTN+ games in that single month, so while you only pay for a month it is going to seem like at least a year!

With the season upon us, could anyone outside B10 coverage areas please report if they get Illinois games on the likes of YT, Amazon, etc?

Thanks in advance.
I got YTTV specifically for BTN. Actually I’m in B1G territory but my local cable won’t carry BTN because (a) BTN requires cable providers to put BTN on basic coverage, and (b) they’re expensive, especially for smaller cable providers to justify.

Not sure about that part. Where I live Comcast/Xfinity requires purchase of the Sports and Entertainment Package to get BTN. It is not available on any of the normal tiers from Basic up through Premier.

Looks to me that there are 3 games (so far, at least) on BTN+ in November. Still worth it to me to see the beloved as much as possible.

Yeah, I will pay for it as well, but I won't like it. Games against Nicholls (sp?) State, Hampton & Lindenwood, plus the exhibition against Lewis.

Hate to quote myself...but does anybody know the answer to this? Game is coming up tomorrow and I want to be prepared. :)

I wouldn’t mind I guess if the feed was decent. The last time I tried it was so bad I eventually gave up and didn’t watch. I know some have had good success, but I have decent speed and that didn’t help.

Quick search under Replays and I didn’t see anything like what BTN had. Sorry can’t help with this - I didn’t find previous games.

Yeah, me neither. But I figured I was doing something wrong as the FoxSportsGO APP is supposed to be the new B1G2GO APP and the old B1G2GO APP had archived games for at least a few days. I see nothing but watching live as an option on the FoxSportsGO APP...can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong if I want to see an archived game (if anything)?

Insight?

If YouTube TV is offering a free week you could try that. All can be done via a laptop if you don't have or want to bother with something like a Roku stick or other device. Very simple to go online, find the game and the "Add " it to your Library. You can then go to "Library' later in the night to watch it - but you do have to find it and add it prior to the start of the game.

OK, streaming Gurus, we have every channel on DTV and are ready to drop, incentives gone, and the with internet, bumps up everything to $250. I called Comcast this week, and can get everything for $175, with a contract, I am expecting that their prices to drop for the holidays. To get everything streaming, YTTV, $50, Philo, $20, HBO/Cinemax/Starz/Showtime, $45. So, $115, prior to internet, which will be $60. So, $175, but no contracts, is there a better solution, besides, not having every channel?

I am probably missing the whole point of these questions about replays on BTNplus and BTN2go app and the FoxSportsgo app. But I think the original question was about replays of BTNplus games, yes? This stuff always gets me a little confused. I know what I do to get games but I probably don't understand the questions but anyway, according to the BTN web site,
"BTN2Go is now BTN+ so what does this mean?
"BTN’s TV Everywhere service (previously BTN2Go) has moved to Fox Sports.
"BTN’s direct-to-consumer subscription service (BTN Plus) is still here with a new BTN+ look and website at btnplus.com."

So doesn't that mean that BTNplus content stays with BTN (I don't know exactly how to say that) and that things should remain the same? That is, there should be replays. Now the way I do it, if I remember correctly (after all it has almost been a year and I don't retain memories that long), is that I sign up for BTNplus. Most of the time I don't get a chance to watch the game live so I replay them. And the way I do that is that I stream them from my computer after signing into BTN or maybe now it will be btnplus.com. I do remember that the BTN2go app did not work on my Roku. They promised they were working on it but I doubt it has been fixed. I will probably contact them soon since I definitely want to be able to play the games later.

And I just found this,
"Go Beyond TV with a BTN+ Subscription
BTN+ remains BTN’s direct-to-consumer video streaming subscription service offering you access to the following Big Ten content:

Live Streaming of over 1,400 Non-Televised Games
Next Day, On-Demand Archives of Non-Televised and Televised Games
On-Demand Archives of Previous Seasons of Big Ten Classics and Originals"

Not exactly sure what this means. Just "next day" and not after that? I can't always get to the replays the next day.

Oh, and here is a FAQ on BTNplust

https://www.btnplus.com/faq

Or am I missing the whole point?

“Next day” typically just means you cant rewind the live game and you can’t stream it until the following day if you miss it live.

I am looking for a more permanent solution as I do not think DISH will be resolving their dispute with Fox for quite some time if ever. However, I do not yet want to commit to a full service of YYTV or Hulu TV. And the free week would only work this week and not the rest of the month, etc.

My original question was not about BTNPlus games. It was about FoxSportsGo (the new B102Go) APP playing replays? I don't see this function on the Fox App like it used to be on the B102Go APP. I was hoping it was there and I was just doing something wrong and someone could correct me.

YTTV - It's month to month, cancel anytime, on line, no hassle. $50 per month. Re-up if you change your mind. Weird, huh?

TV Games:
Any game that is live on FOX/BTN will be offered live on the FoxSports (NOT FoxSportsGO) App. Unfortunately, Game Replays are now only offered with a $ubscription to BTN+. You will need to DVR the game if you want to re-watch it without a BTN+ subscription. The BTN+ game replay library does included CBS/ESPN/ABC broadcasts as well, not just FOX/BTN.

Non-TV Games (Stream Only):

Offered with BTN+ Subscription ONLY, on the BTN+ App. Available Live or for replay. This should be available on Roku, Chromecast and PC. I think also Apple TV and firestick but I do not have those devices to confirm.

I had similar thoughts when I went with Xfinity. The problem is they start tacking on all sorts of additional fees to cable that you end up paying more than quoted.

See if they offer a package deal for their smallest cable package. I think it is 10 channels or something. I was able to get the package deal for quite a bit less than internet only. I never even hooked up the box. That was a few years ago and I was paying extra for faster internet, so not sure if still true.
