Yeah. This is going to be off topic a bit but I remember that when Illinois was searching for a new head coach a lot of people wanted Martin due to his recruiting skills (at least that is how I remember it, I could be wrong). So what happened? I don't follow his recruiting but it does not seem as if he has been much of a recruiting savant. And hopefully that won't change.

Currently on a tour of the USA Olympic training facility in Colorado Springs and they took us in a gym where kids are trying out for U15, U17,& U19 Basketball. Lo & behold sitting in the gym with about 30 other people is Juwan Howard checking out the players! Didn’t recognize any other coaches.

Say high to Adam Miller, he's there.

Any word on how the visits are going? Or went?

Regardless of how well Robinson's visit went, I'll be very surprised if Curbelo doesn't have first dibs. #notaninsider

Not sure of that, whole bird in a hand thing, Curbelo isn't ranked that much higher, probably not a call you have to make since I think Robinson is heading to Arkansas next week, but if he was ready to pop I don't think it would be smart to push him off a week waiting for Curbelo.

Underwood doesn’t care about rankings. 🤷‍♂️

Robinson is going to take that Arkansas visit. They're leading right now for sure. Kansas, Arkansas, Illinois the main 3 for him right now. He really enjoyed his visit.

Once Curbelo stayed silent after that Miami OV, I started liking our chances a lot more. Oregon is slow-playing him, and Curbelo camp not too happy about it.

He has impressed at the USA tryouts in Colorado. I think he is still waiting to see if and what sanctions come down on Kansas. Could carry on beyond November signing.
What sanctions - cheating at recruiting, or from the Snoop Dogg concert?

This was my thinking but my man tctornado says they are promoting a big class. They still want kk

Good read Rob. How's the baby doing? Yup, Arkansas with a class of 5 and promoting the "homie" thing.

Baby all good. I'm gonna bring her to the house of Paign this year. I gotta put all this yelling to good use. I'm anxiously awaiting the Curbelo visit. One of these guards needs to see the opportunity that's going to be available. I see Curbelo as at least a two or three year player, if not a four year. I know Miller wants to be one & done, but I see him as a two year.

Born and raised Illinois fan that ended up in Tennessee for high school and thus Tennessee for college. Was excited when Tennessee hired Cuonzo from Missouri State. He was young (40 years old when hired) and thus could still relate to the kids he was recruiting. Then the disaster began. He recruited well, but his style of basketball is painful to watch. He stifles offensive minded players in favor of a slow, half court game predicated on playing stingy defense. His philosophy is essentially "Limit their possessions and make the most of our possessions". It sucks to watch. I'd have more fun watching Chester Frazier or Ahmad Starks shoot 3's.

Why does he keep striking out on recruits? Because anyone who watches a team coached by him play wants to tear their eyes out after about 10 minutes. No one wants to play that kind of game. I'm sorry, defense is important, but it doesn't get you a highlight reel like dropping 30 points does.

Side note on Clownzo, his career has been a 3 year and bail career at every stop. Just long enough that he never sees the freshman he recruits as seniors. 3 years at Missouri State, 3 years at Tennessee, 3 years at Cal. This is his third at Missou. I for one will be looking at him to bail after this year.
