Adding Miller to the class would be gravy at this point. Compared to our fall recruiting of the past, I'm not sure if this is a dream or not.
Plus, although technically not considered part of the 2020 class, the addition of transfers Austin Hutcherson and Jacob Grandison to the team also give the ILLINI two experienced shooters with small forward size to make practice more competitive this season while they learn Brad's system which will then give the ILLINI two additional players for the 2020 season for depth off the bench in what would otherwise be their Junior seasons. If either one of them develops into a rotation player and if Miller commits, then the 2020 class will be the best we have had in years.

This is my favorite Curbelo highlight. Turkey might not have the best squad but he shows every facet of his game at a legit international tournament. There's also full game highlights of LuHi's semi-final and state championship games where he takes over in the 4th.

I found it interesting that the O&B article listed Kouma as part of the 2020 class as well. He was salutatorian of his HS class so he's obviously a bright kid. I don't anticipate any issues with him qualifying next year, but wonder if that will come to fruition.

This would be amazing, but Evans was an elite on ball defender as a prospect.
When I saw Evans in high school here in Dallas I thought he would be a very good NBA player, but as talented as he is, he still is trying to make the bigs. I think he played in only 8 NBA games last year & is in the G League now. It's so hard to take that next step & stay in the League. That's what makes the success of Kendrick Nunn so special.

After adjusting for the Curbelo commitment, I just ran some calculations and here's some stuff that happens with UI basketball in 2021-22 ...
  1. Although Kofi and Giorgi's monster performances in the 2020 and 2021 tournaments opened several doors to playing professionally, they're having way too much fun together to not do it one more time. Plus, their now-legal dual endorsement deals with basically every company that wants to sell anything in the state of Illinois is paying the bills just fine.

  2. Besties Adam and Andre annoy teammates with their continuous assertion of "double-A batteries" as their collective nom de guerre (they make the team go). Every broadcaster tells us the story, as though we haven't already heard it a billion times.

  3. Thanks to Coach K's mildly surprising retirement at the end of the 2019-20 season, AJ decides to experience his brother's senior season, first-hand. During half-time of the B10 championship game, CBS airs a clip where the two banter about how much credit AJ deserves for Alan being named B10 POY. Unbeknownst to AJ, Max is standing behind him, playfully forming a "zero" with his hands.

  4. Kahlil's post-Kentucky second act culminates with a triple-double in a regional final victory against ... you guessed it, Kentucky. The performance somewhat cooled the controversy leading up to the game, after NCAA president Rudy Giuliani "punished" UK for recruiting violations by forcing the school to host the event at Rupp Arena.

  5. After pulling up to the arena in custom Urbana orange Blazers provided as part of Kofi and Giorgi's endorsement deal with area Chevy dealers, Tev drop 42 in the national semifinal. The emotion of the loss brings Louisville head coach Bruce Pearl to a moment of startling honesty, when he admits "I made it all up."
I wish I could I tell you what happened next, in the championship game, but that's when I woke up.

He has some seriously fast hands and he’s very instinctive. I’m looking forward to seeing him in orange and blue.

I just hope peeps are not really expecting Mike Bibby Sr. as that is a very lofty goal. I do style wise, liken his game to an Andre Miller from like 20 years ago, or maybe like a Zavier Simpson type - which is tremendous.
