They are playing bad tonight. Losing by 16 to a D2 team at home in 2nd half.

There is one thing we know for sure. We will get to finally see something other than our white uniform. Will it be blue or orange? Rebrand or throwback?

Playing mediocre competition can be "risky business." Winning is expected Losing can have significant consequence down the line.

Hey Dan, so is the game this Friday something that we can watch on ESPN3? I thought it wasn't being shown but I believe ESPN3 is something we can watch on the internet right...Thanks for your help!

I really hope we see more AG Friday. His 7 points and 5 orebs (and a steal) in 16 minutes seemed to warrant a bit more play this weekend.

GCU's loss worries me. Definitely raises the stakes. Now if we lose this game it could end up being a pretty devastating loss. And they'll likely be playing angry.

I am not Dan but I play one on TV. Anyway, how to watch this game was discussed in the other GCU thread but I will bring it here. GCU has something on their athletic web site called GCUTV (<https://gculopes.com/watch/?>). I tried it out when they played their exhibition game to mixed results. I went back last night to try again. I was able to watch the GCU vs Davenport game on my computer using Safari and Opera. I was NOT able to view using Chrome or Firefox. Don't know why. Maybe missing some kind of plug in? I was using a Mac. So maybe it will work in Chrome and Firefox on a PC? I can cast the game to my tv from my computer but won't go into that unless asked as everyone has different hardware. So you have the GCUTV option. In addition, as with their exhibition game (vs CSU San Bernardino) and with last night's game against Davenport I did a google search for the games (GCU vs. CSU San Bernardino, and GCU vs Davenport) and got links to Youtube live videos of both games (clicked on the "video" menu at the top rather than the "all"). So if the GCUTV does not work for you there is the possibility of doing a search for GCU vs Illinois and getting a Youtube live video of the game and casting that to your tv. Of course, this depends on whether they treat the Illinois game the same way as the other two previous games.

Also, if you cannot watch the game live you may be able to watch later. GCU's first two games are archived so you can go to the GCUTV web site and watch later. Again, though, although this works for their first two games, will they allow that for the Illinois game? Anyway, go to that site, click on "On Demand" and below will be the archived games. And, as with the live feed, this did not work for me on a Mac using Chrome or Firefox but did with Safari and Opera. Also, you might have to fiddle with it a little. For the CSU San Bernardino game it kept saying "live feed will begin shortly" or words to that effect. I had to move the scub bar a little to the right to get the video going. I did not have that problem with the Davenport game but I did notice that it was over 4 hours long. The last two hours, more or less, were just blank. So basically I am saying is that it might not be a smooth experience.

Tough early games and sloppy play happens every year to teams. Kansas turned the ball over more than we did last night, and Michigan also almost blew a 20 point lead. We aren't the only ones. The Illini need to get better in quite a few areas, but to early to panic. Unfortunately there may be some growing pains going through these next two games.

A couple of days ago, Illinois-GCU was picked up as an ESPN3 game. (Game is also available on TV in Central Illinois on WCIX 49.)

To see if you can watch an ESPN3 game, go here https://www.espn.com/watch/schedule & find an ESPN3 program click on it to see if it works.

I just read a interesting article on espn.com about Kansas and their 2 Big line up. The amount of turnovers they had against Duke cost them the game. It talked about spacing and flow of the offense. Makes total sense to me now. GB is getting the ball in so many spots away from basket vs. last year and he's been called for probably 5 travels in 2 games. We cannot play both big guys at same time. It also mucks up the guards. Looked at turnovers and Underwood called out GB for 4 TO's. Yet Ayo had 5. The starters accounted for 18 turnovers. Go 1 big at a time coach!
