Does this mean we’re ranked #40? 😏

We’d have to win out to have a chance to crack the top 25 and even then i don't see it happening.
That was my thought, too. Until we received a vote last week...
Based on that, if we beat Iowa, we would certainly get votes close to top 25, and cracking it would likely come down to how bad we beat them and how the teams between us and 25 right now do.

If we win out the regular season, then fo sure we crack it. And if we win out the rest of the season and finish 9-4, we most certainly will (if not close to top 16-20 range).

Disagree. we beat a ranked Iowa team on the road (assuming they're still ranked at that point) and notch our 5th big ten win in a row, I think we get ranked (if not very close to being ranked). The recency and anchoring bias in college sports ranking always amazes me. If we're already getting a vote, a win at Iowa will get a lot more attention and the EMU loss becomes a distant memory.

If Iowa beats Minnesota and then we beat Iowa, I think we'll be ranked. If they don't beat Minnesota and we beat them, we'll get a lot more votes but probably not ranked.

I think if we win out we’d be ranked. We’d be 9-4 with wins over Iowa, Wisconsin and a pretty decent bowl opponent. Not to mention a 7-game winning streak and a feel good story.

Since expansion in 2011, 5 of 10 9-win B1G teams ended ranked in the top 25. And one year Michigan was ranked with 8 wins because Michigan.

Currently there are 4 teams at 6-3 in the CFP 19-25 slots. If we're not ranked, we're certainly closing in on it.

We're kind of a weird team in how we've gone on a run. Some voters probably look at how you've played over the whole season, and some probably look at how you've progressed. No shame in losing to Minnesota and Michigan.

Looks like most have already hinted on what I was about to post - I believe the rankings are a collaboration of the whole season plus who is trending. We beat Iowa on the road, we are trending.
