We're in the Top 4 for 4 Star WR Lideatrick Griffin who is currently committed to Mississippi State. Illinois just offered him a couple of weeks ago.

Not sure what our odds are here other than to say it’s some form of 1 in 4 but I got a hold of a tape of his from 2018 (Buddy is trying to hook me up with some 2019 film) and ....wow. This kid is phenomenal. I understand it’s a smaller sample size for analysis purposes but this kid appeared to me to be a more physical, more forceful Kyron Cumby. Could test out with a freakish level vertical. Has an explosive burst, tremendous second gear and was just as dangerous in the run and return games as he was split out wide. Spent most of his time out wide but clearly athletic enough to line up anywhere. Explosive, fluid, natural athlete but again, forceful. Ran HARD inside, attacking the holes. No tendency to bounce, saw the lane and hit it.

I don’t know his composite score off hand I’d have to look but this kid could easily be our best recruit.

I am not saying you are right nor wrong. I am just going to point out that Ryan Easterling/Jeremy Werner mentioned on Thursday that they were trying to setup an official visit for Bermudez for this weekend. And his 247 page has him listed as visiting on Friday

On the other hand I posted a tweet from Corey that him and Coach Hudson was at the airport heading out on the 13th. Would be weird to have him here without his lead recruiter/position coach

I’ve been doing some research and this could be Lovie’s best class yet.
Tre’Von Riggins looks pretty close with his slew of recent tweets. If you look at Lideatrick’s likes he’s liking tweets from people like Riggins, and Denver Warren without doing the same for recruits of any other colleges on his list. We’re in the lead for Bermudez. Final 3 for Antonio Doyle, and I presume if it’s between us and Missouri we have a clear advantage due to our linebacker play and coach. Add in guys like Warren, Spann, Newton, and the diamonds in the rough our coaching staff somehow finds at the end of the signing period (i.e. Sydney Brown, Bobby Roudntree, Devon Witherspoon) and we have a borderline Top 40 class with 5 4 star recruits. That doesn’t even factor in Luke Ford, Derrick Smith, Marquez Beason, and our next big transfer haul. This is going to be an impressive class that will be able to take their time to develop behind a team that will compete for the West next year. Exiting times.

Doyle is not down to us or Missouri.

I agree with this in theory, but the circumstances surrounding some of the things going on in his life indicate that location will play a big factor in his decision. If Illinois was better at football, I'm actually to understand it absolutely would be between Missouri and Illinois.

I don't know much about his personal life but I do know his top two and it's not Missouri/Illinois.
